The open kitchen with stainless steel appliances is the perfect place for you to prepare some breakfast for the entire family!

All 3 bedrooms have Queen beds and are located downstairs, great for couples or a group. The master bedroom has a TV with Netflix. There is a washer and dryer in the laundry room for your use and plenty of parking.

You'll be perfectly situated for both winter and summer adventures, just a 15 minute drive from the Northstar Resort or a 7 minute drive to Kings Beach. Don't forget to check out the lakefront restaurants in Kings Beach! What are you waiting for? Your unforgettable Lake Tahoe trip awaits!

Due to COVID, there are changes in ski resort availabilities. Please make sure to check the ski resorts’ policies on reservations and tickets if you plan on hitting the slopes. We cannot provide refunds based on reservation inabilities at the ski resorts.

We enjoyed our time here (plus report on things people complained about in earlier reviews)
The house was good and location was very convenient for our goals (skiing at Northstar while staying outside of the resort area). We also walked to a nearby park and it was also a very nice thing to discover. I was doubting about booking this place because of several bad reviews, so here is my update: 1) matrasses where good and sheets were clean; 2) coffee maker and dishwasher worked just fine. 3) blinds were in place, no issues with that. I also really appreciate having a big collection of boardgames, and a grand piano (my kid practiced during our stay). Some things that didn't ruin my experience but would be good to have improved: 1) I hate sheets that discharge static electricity, but 100% cotton does not releases sparks. I know it's hard to avoid in winter. It would be so much better with a 100% cotton sheets. After reading bad reviews I brought my own cotton sheets (just in case) and even though provided sheets looked and felt fine, I ended up changing them to my own. 2) Electric kettle. It's a mystery why so many homes do not have it! be different and we'd love you more :-) 3) I was struggling to understand which light switch turns what on in the living room. Maybe you could add labels to the switches? 4) I'd love to have humidifiers in bedrooms. My kid and some other people I know easily develop nose bleeds due to dry air at Tahoe, and he had them this time as well. Overall, we had a great vacation and don't regret renting this house at all.

Really nice neighborhood for families. Enjoyed skiing and Lake Tahoe waterfront visits. Home was nice but a bit run down. Big home with nice kitchen, dining and living room. Unfortunately the Coffee maker, some outlets, a few lights, garage door, etc were not in working order.

Could be great...
The house is nice and in a great location (quick drive to Palisades) and with some effort could be an amazing vacation rental. The biggest issue by a landslide is the beds and bedding. None of the bedrooms have a real mattress and all of the bedding is uncomfortable (rough and scratchy) and stained. You will not have a good night's sleep until that's changed. Other issues included very little soap in the kitchen and bathrooms, half the lights didn't work, coffee pot and dishwasher didn't work, no basic pantry items. With a few easy upgrades this could easily be a 5 star rental!

Disappointed.
Beautiful location. Kitchen was good. Great ice machine in fridge. Oven dirty—smoked when used. My bedroom which faced the street had no curtains or blinds on the siding door window. I found the blinds in the closet. The blinds took up the whole closet. I called as this was unacceptable. Grand Welcome said they would get back to me asap. I never heard back from them. This was a creepy situation. I could see at night the house (boys) across the street so I’m sure they could see me. I couldn’t dress in my room and stayed in the dark at night. There were no chest of drawers in my room. Lived out of my suitcase. Ugh. The other bedroom had no end tables. The carpets throughout the bedrooms were stained bad. Master bedroom had the largest stains. Two nice decks but no where to sit. Door Screens in the family room and dining area were torn. We were hit with mosquitoes and moths so we had to keep the door screens shut. The piano in the kitchen area looked so nice in the pictures but it’s old and the keys are dirty. Should just retire that thing. Worse place I have ever stayed.

We have stayed in this property before and enjoyed it. This time upon arrival, the property was filthy, smelled horrible and the washer & dryer both were broken. I left several messages for the management company, with no returned calls. I got a hold of them 2 days after we left and said that I should have photo documented the smell and broken appliances. WHAT!!! Said I should have called more then once a day! WHAT!!! This house is poorly maintained with a management company that takes no responsibility. Will not be staying again!

Good accommodations, great location
Several basic amenities were missing when we first arrived (garbage bags, dishwasher detergent, etc.) but the management company had them all delivered (plus extras) the next day. The house is a little dated, with some minor repairs needed, but overall was spacious and in a great location. Wifi was OK, but internet streaming actually worked better using our cell phones as hot spots. A good deal for the price. We enjoyed our stay!

The house was perfect for us. There were three couples in our group staying for a ski weekend at North Star. The house was clean and spacious in a really beautiful and convenient location. We were able to cook a big meal in the kitchen together, and relax in the living room with plenty of space for everyone. I would come back and stay here again!

Making new memories for the thanksgiving weekend
My daughter and I wanted to make new memories fir the Thanksgiving weekend after losing my husband a couple years ago. The community is beautiful, the people great, Lake Tahoe magnificent and area convenient. The property was nice and we could tell just had some new improvements. It surely was a great place for a family to visit

Overall great location and cozy home. However, the cleanliness was disappointing. The dishwasher had dirty dishes, the floor and carpet had clearly not been vacuumed and the surfaces were not wiped down. The wi-fi was terrible; watching Netflix at night was a struggle because the tv had a hard time staying connected.

Wonderful family vacation home!
This home is absolutely gorgeous. Way better than even the photos. You can tell it is a very cared for home that is rented a few times a year but beloved by the owners. Our hosts were gracious and kind, helpful and very responsive. We actually enjoyed Lake Donner better than Lake Tahoe for our young family. More accessible and less like a resort feel. Lots to explore in the area and we didn't even get to hike, but very much enjoyed the creek, lake, hot tub and pools near by. Lots of jungle gyms for little ones...so lovely. Thanks much to the owners for such a fun family stay!

Lovely, quiet neighborhood
First of all, the description of the property didn't include the fact that there is a peek-a-boo view of the lake. It was so nice to stand in the kitchen or sit in the living room and look out and grab a glimpse of the lake and mountains. The home is very family friendly - lots of games, puzzles, sleds in the garage to use. Plenty of space for a number of guests. The wifi isn't the best if you plan on doing any zooming while you're visiting. Because the neighborhood is not a throughway, the only reason anyone should be in the area of the house is because they live or are staying there. There is a fantastic hike down the road - walk past a gate, past the water tower up the hill and you'll be rewarded with a spectacular view of Lake Tahoe. Northstar is a few minutes away, Kings Beach is just down the road. Great location. There are a couple of minor items I have pointed out to management that hopefully will be taken care of; dog proof trash bin in kitchen, salt/de-icing material for deck and steps, a bench at front door for shoe removal. Nothing major, nothing that wouldn't stop me from renting again, or recommending this home to anyone who asks. Due to Covid we did not ski, nor did we go to any restaurants or stores. There is a Safeway and lots of dining spots to check out in Kings Beach on our next visit.

Outstanding Experience
We are a family of 5 with a standard poodle. We brought all of our food and cooked our meals at the cabin. The kitchen was fully stocked, the bedrooms were the perfect size, extremely clean (even with it being a pet property), and the location is absolutely breathtaking. I highly recommend this property, we will definitely be returning...
