The Lake Forest area is a convenient and desirable area of Lake Tahoe. It is close to shopping, restaurants, ski resort, beaches, and other fun activities, but quiet enough for a serene and peaceful time in the mountains.

Getting around is easy. We recommend you have a car when staying at our home. In the winter, we also recommend that you are prepared for all weather possibilities. This includes chains.

Home Truths
The home has a classic Tahoe staircase, narrow and steep
There is no bathroom upstairs
Our home is ideal for 4 adults, with space for small children in the king bedrooms
Classic Tahoe cabin charm with some creaks and sound travel between floors
Outdoor furniture (including the BBQ & firepit) are not be available in the winter months (November - May).
Like most homes in Tahoe our home does not have AC

Due to unforeseen and uncontrollable circumstances, including poor air quality and smoke associated with wildfires, we highly recommend purchasing Travel Insurance to cover your cancellation, as we will not be able to offer a full refund outside the cancellation window.

Please note that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot always control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are far and few between, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try and accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.

One lesson we've learned about the great outdoors is the frequent requirement to wipe down the deck furniture. Despite our efforts to maintain the utmost cleanliness for your convenience, it seems that nature is working against us. You may need to wipe down the outdoor table, chairs, and any other outdoor seating. The dust and pollen accumulates within a matter of hours.

Tahoe City
We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The beach was a short walk from the cabin and a nice place to spend a day at the lake. The hot tub was a plus after a long day hiking or just needing to relax.

Great Stay!
Overall the property was very nice and very pretty. The location was perfect since it’s a 10 minute walk down to the lake and the hot tub was perfect. The stairs are a bit steep to step down, but overall the rooms are comfortable! Would recommend!

Great place
This place was perfect for our family of 6. Great location only 17 min from Palisades, hot tub was great. Communication with the property manager was great. Appreciated their flexibility in changing our dates when we had a last minute change. Would love to come again!

Lovely family vacation in Tahoe
The house was lovely for my parents and I. Very clean inside, clear instructions, great communication and accommodating. Issues were minor: smallest dog escaped under the gate, another dog got hit by a pine cone falling from the tree, stairs were too narrow for my elderly parents. Overall an excellent stay and hope to stay here again in the future.

Amazing dog-friendly location and cabin!
We loved the neighborhood, proximity to the lake and dog beach, and awesome area in which this cabin was located. Communication with the host was seameless, and they were very accomodating. Such a great option for a Tahoe stay with pups!

Lovely spot and great host
This is a cute house in a lovely neighborhood by the lake. Great location just a few minutes from Tahoe City and half hour from Northstar. Although we were challenged by the snowstorm and unable to benefit from the jacuzzi, backyard, and fireplace, the owners were responsive and flexible. I would not recommend coming in the peak season since those days were massively over priced, but otherwise a wonderful experience!

cozy bear cabin
Unfortunately all the propane tanks for the BBQ and firepit were empty. We did have 1 brought to us within the hour so we could cook our steaks for dinner. The guest bathrooms shower head is in dire need of replacement as well as the metal strip entering that shower. The staicase was a bit treacherous but, other than that a cute comfy little place.
