"Lovely relaxing stay. We booked the Hanare Karoi luxury twin with its own private open air onsen. It was much needed after all the walking so far this trip, we didn't need to go to the larger public baths on the other levels. They provided a shuttle bus from Ogoto Onsen station. The service was great from check in, to the staff at the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The private lounge and unlimited Haagen Dazs icecream, drinks and juices was a really nice touch. We really enjoyed the dinner...

"This hotel is actually far from Kyoto, so be prepared for a very long ride from either the train station or airport. The food was excellent and the room was very basic. Comfortable, but no frills.
