"The house is beautiful, the beds were comfy,the neighborhood was calm and comfortable, the hot tub was clean and hot. Good jumping off point for Carrizo Plain National Monument but otherwise an ugly oil town with not much going for it.

It is a quiet little town. Everyone I met was very friendly. After the long drive to Taft, I went for a 30 minute walk close to sunset and felt safe walking streets.
