Your romantic waterfront getaway awaits you in this gorgeous private guest home on one of the most impressive waterfront properties in Washington. Wake up in your king-sized memory foam bed to golden sunrises over the Puget Sound. This guesthouse is detached from the main home and tucked away behind a gated French Chateau style estate in a quiet picturesque neighborhood. One mile from the Harbor and downtown shops, restaurants and breweries.

Guest home has a full-sized kitchen complete with everything you need to make a great cup of coffee or romantic dinner. Comfy living room area perfect for unwinding and snuggling in with a good book or movie. Stunning Italian marble bathroom with double vanity, walk-in-shower and full-sized washer and dryer. Home has 2 electric based wall heating units located in the living room and bedroom and a fireplace in the living room.

Meander around the meticulously kept gardens of the main home and don't forget to catch some "Morning Therapy" by watching the stunning sunrises, complete with Mount Rainier, Vashon Island and Point Defiance Views. Orca whales, harbor seals, porpoises, and bald eagles are all common visitors in this beautiful high bank waterfront backyard along Colvos Passage in the quiet community of Gig Harbor, Washington!

Gig Harbor at its best!
Our stay could not have been better. Hosts Loren and Shannon were very welcoming and thoughtful. The upscale property is beautiful, quiet, and extremely comfortable. Plus the views of the water and Mt Rainier are outstanding. Thanks for a great stay!

I had the best time!
This guest home is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! It’s perfect for a quick getaway. The was super comfy and view from the peoperty is amazing. The hosts were so easy to communicate with and made the check in and check out process super easy. I highly recommend this property and I can’t wait to book again!

I have stayed in many VRBO's over the years, this was by far the best. Home is exactly as described by host. Absolutely beautiful setting, many amenities in the kitchen, comfy bed and views, views, views! I was looking for a rejuvenation weekend, could have stayed another week it was so sublime. The Chateau by the Sea is highly recommended. perfect location. Your hosts will be the added bonus; such fine people. This venue is so wonderful, we chose carry-out each evening to enjoy the private peaceful retreat. The 1-5 rating scale on the app should go to 10!

I couldn’t have had a more relaxing, calming and beautiful place to enjoy celebrating my 60th birthday. Our hosts were fabulous, thoughtful and were wonderful to share their fabulous view. They also provided us with suggestions for things to check out in Gig Harbor and surrounding area, which was helpful as this was our first (but certainly not our last) trip here.

Winter Getaway
We arrived just after Christmas for a short get away. It was a wonderful, rejuvenating few days. The chateau is beautiful, comfy and well appointed. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom is lovely. Shannon and Loren made us feel very welcomed, were flexible and were available when we needed them. Can't wait to come back in the summer months. Definitely happy we chose to stay there and you will be too!

Styled after a Tuscan villa, the guest chateau on this bayfront property is everthing a romantic couple could ask for - luxe accomodations, private, artful, very comfortable. And our compliments to our gracious hosts, Loren and Shannon, who bestowed a bottle of bubbly and their infinite hospitality on two wayfarers traveling up from Portland.

Great location. Close to town for shopping, restaurants. Also close to freeways for great drive along the hood canal/Olympic peninsula or a jaunt North into Seattle or Canada. Amazing find
What a wonderful place to rejuvenate. It’s quiet, serene, and beautiful. The chateau is in a quiet neighborhood with access to amazing shopping/restaurants within a short walking distance along the harbor. The host, Shannon, is super personable and lovely. I wasn’t too disappointed when our show was rescheduled since it will give us another opportunity to enjoy another stay.

This is a beautiful property…fabulous views and a wonderful Pacific NW garden. The host/owner, Shannon, was easy to communicate with, helpful and hospitable and sensitive to providing guests privacy. Kitchen works for in unit cooking, bed super comfy, bathroom roomy with hood shower and in unit laundry. The property is very safe and secure with easy access to the peninsula, Mt Rainier, Tacoma and even Seattle.

Absolutely Beautiful!
My husband and I found Shannon and Lorne's property to be the cleanest property that we have ever rented. The views were breathtaking and the hospitality was above and beyond! Shannon had cut fresh flowers and a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived. She offered wonderful advice on where to eat and activities to try while we were in Gig Harbor. Her suggestion for our anniversary dinner was spot on and one of the best meals that we have ever had. We look forward to returning when we are able to do some hiking around Mt. Rainier and Olympic National Park. I would highly recommend a stay here!
