"I stayed in the Retro Van which was cute, small, the smallest accommodation they have, in fact. It consisted of a bed, a sink, a fan, a fluro light. Was clean. A lamp would have been appreciated, and fixing the latch on the door so that it could stay open (it was very hot), mozzie netting on the windows so they could be left open and a little fridge would have been helpful. "My single room had a comfortable bed, a chair and a shelf with enough space for my needs. The ceiling fan was quiet and powerful. The shared bathroom was always clean during my stay. There are 3 single rooms sharing that bathroom so access was never a problem and I barely saw or heard the other occupants. The kitchen and dining areas were always clean with all that I needed. Staff were friendly and welcoming. There are not a lot of on-site parking spots but it was never hard to find one. ...

"I only stayed one night, however I would definitely come back and hope to be back soon. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and the staff were so helpful; they went out of their way to make my visit enjoyable and easier. (There is festival on and taxis are hard to get, so their manager drove me to an appointment, personally). The location is perfect too, so close to everything you could want. Thanks guys for an amazing stay."

A Great Pool and a bit of luxury, at a cost

"We loved the pool which was fabulously warm. We never wanted to get out. The house is comfortable and clean, and nice and cool with the AC on. The entertainment system is awesome, except that the bedrooms aren't very sound proof (if you want to watch surround sound TV with a young child needing to sleep). The kitchen was very functional with loads of appliances including an air fryer, outdoor BBQ and dishwasher (although the bigger plates don't fit). Literally it was great. The kids (we have older children) loved the little nook upstairs, although the ladder is a little hard to climb.Very close to the beach, but can be a bit noisy due to being on a main road, and the fact that there is a walking path directly adjacent to the house. Our little doggy also was very comfortable there.This is the very first house we've hired that actually contained a vacuum cleaner, which is great for just mopping up some sand from the beach, and the washer / dryer made it easy to wash our clothes (so you don't have to bring too much).The outdoor area is great, except it would be nice for the cover to extend further. It is not usable when it is pouring, and gets quite hot under direct sun.Is it worth that much money? It depends on what you are after. There are a few trade-offs, but did we mention the pool?"

A good stay - let down my the property manager

"The location of the property is great. It’s close to Lighthouse beach. It’s so easy to walk down for a swim or join the coastal track to Shelley Beach at the top of the hill. The view is excellent and the front sitting room is a delight. The pool was perfect for the kids and was quite warm as it gets a lot of sun during the day.The property is located on a busy street and there was a lot of traffic noise especially on Saturday night.We were disappointed with the property manager. We found on arrival that there was no gas in the bbq, and no spare cylinder. We alerted the property manager who promised to fix this ASAP, but didn’t fix it at all during our week long stay. That said, the kitchen was well provisioned and easy to use. The trek into town to get the keys worked ok, but isn’t that convenient.Two bedrooms are small and a bit stuffy. We would have preferred a configuration with one of the rooms having two single beds. I think it would be difficult to sleep the weather was hot.Overall it was a good stay."

Excellent location.

"Nice size apartment with two good sized bedrooms, lounge room and bathroom. Property manager was very helpfull. The only drawback was the barbeque had run out of gas and we could not watch basketball games (keen followers) as no access via the tv."

Terrific stopover

"Had a great stay in this older style apartment with our dogs. The yard was fully fenced so the dogs could wander while we enjoyed the view. Handy set of shops across the road and it's only a few minutes walk to Lighthouse Beach. Loved walking the dogs on the beach and we were lucky enough to see dolphins."
