"Generally the property was good. The staff were excellent and very helpful. Facilities were just adequate, the shower ran out of hot water after one person then you had to wait half an hour for the next person. Otherwise I was happy with my accommodation. The area Tarona house is in, is pleasant enough however you have to be careful as some dog owners are not diligent and think more of their pet than other human beings. "

"The studio is very comfortable. The only two things I can comment on is the lack of furniture on the balcony & the shower which was rather tight. "

"The stairs were a bit scary for me and my sister - we’re not as nimble as we used to be so spiral stairs up to our room wasn’t ideal, glad we only had small luggage."

"COMFORTABLE BED, AND great to have a night light built into the wall. Spacious room, with a balcony, and kettle / drinks provided. Only downsides currently is the building works next door - no problem during the night / evening, but don’t expect a lie in !"

"The staff was extremely friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They served dinner later in the evening and having the restaurant connected to the guesthouse was very convenient. Malta has decent public transport, but we did not use it, as it was easy to walk around. There was also a grocery store, Spar, around the corner about 2 minutes away. Would definitely stay there again!"

"Moreof an Air B & B type place . Self entry with Code numbers. Vey close to the Main square. Good value for money. But , no windows / view and down a hill , so be aware if you struggle with walking up / down hills ! otherwise spot on for the money ! "

"Nice location in Valletta just off the central touristic area. Very high ceilings and stone walls - it gives an ambiance of a medieval castle (or a cell in a medieval prison). The apartment itself is good but provided that the shower cabin is inside the room and there is some ventilation problem, I could smell the humidity - so I ran the A/C non-stop to dry the air. Even with this the towels never got dry. "

"Excellent place to stay! Friendly people, beautiful accommodations! Perfectly located and has a rooftop pool to boot! The only criticism would be the mattresses… they were too firm for our liking and it made it hard to sleep, but we like soft beds so anyone else may not have an issue at all. We are already planning our next trip to Malta and plan to book here again"

"Daughter and stayed at Park Heights for 4 nights, we had a wonderful stay! A day before our arrival, I was contacted by the staff to guide me with the self check in, as we were arriving late. The communication was clear and everything went smoothly. The studio with kitchen was just perfect, super functional and clean. The design choices are modern with clean lines. "Great location, walkable for everything in Valletta, and easy to get from the hotel to the relatively flat sections of Merchants' Street and Republic Street if the steeper parts of the city are a concern. A nice room and comfortable beds, and incredibly warm, kind, helpful, and welcoming (but never pushy or overbearing) staff. Everyone at breakfast made us feel like we were visiting friends or family, we were truly sorry to say goodbye at the end of our stay!"

"10/10 - FAULTLESS I celebrated my 29th birthday here over a weekend with 22 friends and the hotel accommodated to every single need I requested. They went above and beyond for me, the treatment and customer service I received was like no other. It truly was a faultless trip and that’s down to the efforts of all the staff, but in particular Martina!! Thank you again! Xx"

"Loved Malta stay at Grand Hotel Excelsior. The moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and welcome drink. Raj Kumar was very friendly and helpful from front desk. He guided us on taking the Gozo day trip on our own. Excellent customer service by Raj and all others at the hotel. Reading some negative reviews on the hotel I was bit hesitant on booking, but the hotel exceeded our expectations. Hotel is walkable to the main center of Valleta. Rooms were spacious with daily housekeeping. We enjoyed our stay three days stay with Excelsior. Breakfast was good with ample choices. We would certainly stay here on our next Malta trip. Highly recommend it. "

"Malta is an exceptional country. This hotel, while not in Valletta proper, is on a number of bus routes. Malta has no train so all transportation is by bus or ferry. It's very easy. The hotel is terrific. No complaints. "
