Wonderful property
We spent a peaceful (if rainy!) week here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This home is beautiful, bright, very clean and comfortable. This was by far the best appointed kitchen of any rental in which we have stayed (and we have used VRBO for many years on multiple continents). Highly recommend this home!

Perfect Getaway
This property is just what the doctor ordered! It had all of the important things covered, cleanliness, convenience, comfort, etc.. What sets this property apart from the others is the feeling of tranquility you get while staying there. The property is very private and the area around it provides excellent outdoor activities. Hiking trails abound nearby and are easy to get to. For a more challenging experience ask Michael about 4x4 trails in the area. Michael is a wealth of information about the area and is an excellent ambassador for it. I will definitely be staying here again!

Weekend Getaway Close to DC!
My wife and I just spent a weekend here, and we absolutely loved it! So many beautiful places to see. Plus, just a short drive from Culpepper (cool little town), and the hosts were as wonderful! A great place!

Great retreat near Shenandoah
Was a wonderful trip to get a way for a few days and enjoy the outdoors. The host, Michael, is extremely friendly and knowledgeable of all the key places you’ll not want to miss out on. The home is beautiful, clean and quiet. I wish we had more time to spend and explore the area. Hoping to have a repeat trip in the future with more than three days to spend in the area. Beautiful, secluded hideaway near SNP
We just loved this beautiful home and the private setting. Most days we had deer and their fawns come eat from the apple tree while we enjoyed the screened porch. The home had every amenity we could hope for and it was beautifully decorated. The owners were wonderful and supportive even though our travel plans got rerouted several times due to airline mishaps. Supplies and a nice restaurant were 5 minutes away and more extensive choices were only 20 minutes away in Madison. But we especially enjoyed the easy access to Shenandoah National Park.

We had a wonderful 3 day getaway
This house is very much more than advertised. Michael gave us a tour of the house which gave us a sense of what was available and where everything was located. The kitchen was well provided - not that we used it very much - we were out most of the days and got meal while we were running around. Everyone was impressed with the house and pleased that we Michael would share it with us. Thanks Michael.

Fantastic
It is difficult to completely convey how much we loved our stay. This is a secluded home at the end of a long driveway on a 30 acre lot - absolutely no street noise - in fact crazy quiet. The house was modern, relatively new construction and super clean. Hardwood and concrete floors are so much better than carpet. The kitchen had exceptionally modern appliances. The refrigerator was clean as a whistle. Plenty of pots, pans, silverware cutlery, you name it - we didn't need to bring anything. Plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, bath towels. The water was delicious. Hot water was plentiful. Bathrooms were amazingly clean. The property was extremely close to Old Rag (about 30 minutes) and the White Oak/Cedar run lower trailhead (15 minutes) - way better than the upper trailhead off SkylineDrive. Most other hikes off Skyline Drive are about an hour away along gorgeous winding rural roads with beautiful farms. I agree with the owners assessment that cell service is terrible but we did great with the satellite Wifi device - easy wifi calling, txt, emails, news etc. The backup generator actually worked during a very brief outage. We brought our own food so did not need a grocery although we passed several big stores (including an enormous Amish market) and gas stations along the way to Skyline Drive. I've never had a Vrbo host actually meet me in person upon arrival. This made us feel comfortable knowing she was within reach. Hands down the best Vrbo ever!

GREATEST vacation getaway!!!!
First of all, we pulled into the drive way and there was a deer right next to the drive way. How exciting! Then the next morning there was a deer outside the bedroom window. I couldn't believe it! Secondly, the vrbo owner is the BEST! He truly cares about the amenities/accomodations of the house and wanted our stay to be as easy as possible. His guest book has everything in detail on where to eat and close by trails! This was the easiest vacation I have ever been on because everything i needed was in the house! Speaking of the house - where do I begin! FIRST CLASS - all around! Bedrooms - HUGE! Great closest space and orgainized shelving! The walk in shower - HUGE! I love to eat and prepare my own food - this kitchen had everything I needed! Even olive oil to cook with! If you like coffee - there was even a Keurig coffee maker with FREE coffee as well! I adored the screened in porch as we ate there for all of our meals and watched the baby deer one morning for breakfast! I would live in this house which is something I have never said in any of the vacation homes I have been in. Even a mudroom! Oh and lastly - the privacy. If you are looking for a private getaway this house, as it sits off the road and NO neighbors! PERFECT place to disconnect and get CLOSE to nature!

Awesome Hideaway near Shenandoah National Park
We wanted to visit this area and we found this gem contemporary cabin to stay at while we hiked and enjoyed some of the best Virginia state has to offer. The accommodations were everything we wanted: clean, modern, spacious, easy, very well furnished and great attention to detail to make our stay comfortable, enjoyable, restful and easy. We stayed four nights over Memorial Day weekend. We usually get homesick for our own bed after two nights, but not this time. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was clean and the stay was refreshing and restful. We hiked and explored the Luray Caverns and local restaurants and vineyards and it was always a pleasure to return to the Hideaway at day’s end for a quiet night to rest. Our host Michael was so very accommodating and hospitable and made us all feel secure and informed for our stay exploring and enjoying the area. There was nothing we wanted for during the stay. We look forward to another stay at the Hideaway in Syria, VA for our next exploratory visit to the Shenandoah Park and adjacent areas. We highly recommend this place and Michael the host.

Contemporary Cabin Rocks!
Fantastic location, fantastic house. Our second time staying here, but definitely not our last. Visited a couple of local breweries, went antique shopping, climbed Old Rag, enjoyed sitting on the deck and reading. Highly recommend!
