This hotel has a very calming design and ambiance; I really liked the style of the decor. Very nearby across the street and around the corner there are several good dining options. However, this is the first time I have ever experienced an allergic reaction of some sort to a hotel room. Not sure if it was the bedding or the air conditioning... every morning woke up super stuffy, sneezy, puffy and with very bloodshot eyes. I requested new hypoallergenic bedding to see if it would make a difference (it didn't) and the staff didn't seem to know if they had options... When I got back to my room after dinner, a pile of new pillows and blankets had been tossed on top of the existing bedding. No new sheets, and the pillowcases were tossed on top of the pillows, and only one of the three pillows was actually hypoallergenic. Now I'm perfectly capable of making a bed but I don't think it's unreasonable to have expected that the hotel staff would've changed out the bedding, and made the bed with fresh sheets? Oh well, the new bedding didn't help anyway, so maybe it was the A/C. Either way, this hotel wasn't terrible, and the design is really lovely, but I don't think I would stay there again because of this experience.
