Comfy cottage on the Tuck
The house was right on the river and is nicely appointed. The location near Dillsboro is also excellent.

Cute cottage but in need of an interior update and makeover.
This cottage is in a great spot with an eagles eye view of the river and distant view of the mountain.

Nice views
The cabin was very nice however the air conditioning only worked the first night and it did not get fixed during our stay. It made our stay less than comfortable unfortunately.
Great little house on the water. Perfect for a couple or small family looking for a weekend getaway close to dillsboro and sylva. The only bad part about the hunt is the driveway location. Your view is blocked both ways so pulling into the road is a little difficult but manageable.

Cute home great location.
Nice as a getaway for two.
Negatives were the cleaning crew needs to step it up a bit and clean under and behind furniture and the master bed mattress sags and two people roll into the middle. Water pressure in the shower has a bit to be desired.
Nice wrap around porch on the river with mountain view.
I have mixed feelings about this property. Loved that it was right on the river, the view was gorgeous. Also right on a busy highway so you get plenty of weekday road noise from big trucks. House is smaller than it looks in pics, but cozy. Couch and chairs were comfortable. I wasn't impressed with the cleaning. On the surface it looked okay, but could use a good spring cleaning. Would I stay here again? Probably not, but wouldn't rule it out completely.
The view of the mountain was beautiful, nice deck. Upon arriving, our code didn't work on the door. My husband found a glass sliding door that was open so that is how we were able to get in. The fan in kitchen was covered in dust so never used it. Dishes in dishwasher were dirty and so was filter in dishwasher

Liked: Check-in
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Great View - BUT.....
Once you enjoy the fabulous view of the river and mountains you begin to realize that the house is much smaller than the listing pictures. You also see that it is in need of repair and updating. You also appreciate the wonderful flowering bushes but also have to push them aside to get down the back stairway and they totally block any ability to see traffic getting out of the driveway. The river was nice and accessible 3 days out of the 7 - when they release water the flow is overwhelming and terribly muddy. NO INTERNET and Satellite TV that had little content. They ask to run a wash and dishwasher load but provide no soap. The really bad news is the driveway exit -- you are literally entering a busy (very busy) 2 lane road that on one end has a hair pin turn 100 feet away and the other is totally blocked by overgrown vegetation.

Driveway is a nightmare
Lovely, cozy home! Getting in and out of the driveway was awful! We trailered our motorcycle and we won’t make that mistake again here! Other than that it was a great visit! No WiFi at this property either

Beautiful scenery
Sitting on the porch in even on the couch with coffee or a glass of vine and seeing and hearing the river…1 BIG minus…the driveway is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!

Little paradise
This cabin had the best view out of all the cabins on the river. You could see a clear view of the mountains and at sunrise/ sunset was even more beautiful. Tons of wildlife to look at on the river and great fishing! Tubing is a must (best to drive up, park and float back down). It is an older cabin with no wifi but with the views and fun you can have on the river or fireside, you don't even think about wifi
Overall LOVED it

This house is right on the river! Beautiful wrap around deck! Beautiful views! I gave it a 2 star only because it needs some major cleaning and up- keeping!
We stayed here when visiting our son at WCU. It's close to Dillsboro downtown area... Beds were comfy and a relaxing family room. It is on a narrow road and getting out of driveway is a little difficult due to proximity to road and some shrubs/trees that block your view. I recommend backing into driveway and it makes for an easier exit. We will definitely stay again.
Parking exit DANGEROUS! Photos show more spacious instead small-cramped. Some lights blown out. Tv barely worked, dryer door opened 4-5”. Fire pit overgrown. BRs had to walk by sideways. Front door lock hard locking. Trash cans under house-were full, had to walk in mud to get to. No wifi. Mattresses worn and poor. Water pressure poor. Driveway had shrubbery creating major blind spot!! I reported..said nothing could be done. Heavy traffic constant !! Would never rent again nor recommend
Enjoyed our short stay here. Perfect location on the Tuck river.

Great place for a cozy riverfront stay
Country cottage was a great place to stay. Having read the other reviews prior to our trip we knew it was a small cottage alongside a road, and none of that bothered us during our visit. The house was clean, and a perfect size for our small family. Road noise was minimal and the river front was amazing! We caught some trout and had amazing views in the morning. The town of Sylva and Dillsboro were fun with good food and the Country Cottage was just 15 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. Country Cottage fit the needs of our family and we will definitely consider staying there again. Thanks

This is a wonderful place to get get away and relax by the river. The veiw from the back deck is gorgeous. The cottage was furnished for any meal you would want to cook and a great living area.
