The wildlife retreat was the highlight of our entire trip. We love visiting Taronga zoo and having enough time to explore over two days was great. The hotel is beautiful with amazing views and the staff are super friendly. Loved the little tour of the animals in the hotel grounds. Such a beautiful stay!

We had such a great stay at Wildlife Retreat at Taronga! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The zoo is so wonderful and has so many amazing animals to see. The on-site restaurants are all fantastic! There is also a ferry at the bottom of the zoo that goes right to Circular Quay and that is super convenient. Overall, a great hotel and such a unique place to stay!

Incredible property, wonderful staff, tours of the zoo and sanctuary are great. A unique and beautiful as well as restful way to stay in Sydney. The ferry at the zoo is a convenient way to get directly to Sydney proper. Would stay again.

Our room overlooked a koala habitat!!! This unique property is part of the Taranga Zoo, so if you are an animal fan, you will have an amazing experience. The breakfast is second to none. What I didn't like: shower floors very slippery and there are no hand holds anywhere in the bathroom. This is probably important only for those of guests that are more mature, but in my view simple and low cost enhancements would make it much better.

This hotel is amazing! This is a unique place where you can wake up watching kangaroos or koalas from your room. The breakfast is very good- restaurant on site is amazing. The view from the lobby is spectacular. The decor is beautiful - room and bathroom are great The staff is sooo nice! Very attentive Access by ferry to the Opera house I will recommend this hotel to anyone who loves animals and comes to visit Sydney I will come back for sure

What’s not to love about staying in the Taranga zoo! We had an exception stay in our animal view room which was very well appointed. We enjoyed the tours provided and observing the animals all about. We had a lovely Koala outside our sliders and we really enjoyed that! The access to the zoo is super VIP and we thoroughly enjoyed taking in all it had to offer! Truly a retreat just outside the city with speculators views of Sydney’s CBD, Opera house and bay bridge. The Me-gal restaurant provided a wonderful breakfast buffet and the dinner we had there was also delicious. I highly recommend atleast one night at the Retreat at Taranaga Zoo, you will not be disappointed.
