45 Steps to reach my room, I am 77 and was not told of this prior to booking, in 7 days my room was not touched except the 6th day the bin was emptied, the photo on their website is misleading. I had to step into a bath to have a shower, not good for my age group.

Rating: ★★★☆☆ We booked a room with two separate beds through Expedia, but when we arrived, we were told that such an option didn’t actually exist at the hotel. Instead, we were given a room with one shared bed, as it was the only available option in our price range. Also, keep in mind that the shower and toilet are shared and located in the hallway, which might be inconvenient for some guests. Pros: ✔ Very comfortable mattress—we slept really well. ✔ Excellent on-site restaurant: you can have breakfast, lunch, and dinner without needing to go elsewhere. ✔ Friendly staff, though you might have to wait a bit before someone shows up at the front desk. Cons: ✖ Misleading booking information—double-check before reserving. ✖ Shared facilities on the floor. Overall, if you’re okay with these minor inconveniences, it’s a decent budget-friendly option with great food and a comfortable bed.

Staff in the dining bar were absolutely lovely and so helpful. The food was delicious. Only complaint is the hallways to the rooms echo so much, you can hear every door open and close and every move made in the kitchen.

Excellent stay
Check in was excellent, and staff very accomodating. Rooms are well presented, amazing old heritage style accomodation, with high ceilings and intruiging features. Would definitely stay here again in the future.

I really did enjoy the older style..very clean and loved all the different areas where we could go . Loved the herritage feel and a beautiful balcony we could enjoy a few drinks on our floor. The only let down was the stairs if your on top foor, over all no fault for an older hotel.

Lovely old pub, renovated very nicely. Beds were very comfortable and bathrooms and common areas were very clean and tidy. Sharing bathrooms was not an issue. Wish we had arrived early enough to enjoy a pub meal downstairs.

Overall I enjoyed my stay and it was worth of each penny. The only issue was I booked it via wotif and I didn't see any note about "shared toilet and bathroom", I wish I had used the hotel website directly as it clearly mentions the shared facilities, saw it too late unfortunately.
