Summary:
When it comes to studios, it doesn’t get better than this - a fully equipped kitchen, dining space and a lounge. But it’s the heritage touches that really make it. Located inside a converted Edwardian villa on a quiet street, this queen studio features a lovely wrought-iron balcony to enjoy your morning coffee, high ceiling and polished hardwood floor. Additionally, this studio offers a laundry room with washing and dryer machines. Trains are a 10-minute walk with plenty of on-street parking.

The Space:
This second-floor studio features a lovely balcony with outdoor furniture, meaning there’s lots of natural light and airflow. There’s a two-person dining setting inside as well, which doubles as a desk for visitors on business. There are two flights of stairs from street level to the property.

The Neighborhood:
Located in Sydney’s trendy Inner West, Lewisham is a relaxed residential suburb characterised by Victorian and Edwardian mansions, post-war apartments and quiet streets. Young families and older residents are attracted by its access to the Light Rail and Sydney Trains, as well as its convenient location near the city and the airport. It’s also close to some great dining and entertainment areas, including New Canterbury Road, Norton St and Marrickville Road.

Lovely building but needs some maintenance
The location is great and the building rather charming but it does need some maintenance. I had issues with a broken toilet seat and a broken venetian blind in front of the French doors onto the balcony. The toilet seat was fixed promptly but the guy came to measure up the blind and nearly two weeks later it still hadn't been replaced. I had to have the blind either up or down as I had to tie it up to keep it open. I couldn't access the balcony except when it was up. It meant that I had either no privacy or no light in the apartment. They have refunded me two nights over an 18 night stay which made me feel a little better but honestly I could have gone to Spotlight and bought a blind to fit that would have resolved the problem in less than 24 hours.

Comfy bed, quiet location, lovely wooden doors & banisters
Security is at a premium at this property. Access was a several step process from off side-street letterbox with coded dials that were hard to read and operate at night. Access through swiping card on main front door was much easier than via keys on side gate and external door. Even then a couple of staircases to our room with a card swipe and keys are required.

This property is a cute studio apartment in a lovely old building. We did have issues with the shower which took a week to resolve but overall it was ok for our needs
