The Space:
A short entrance hall leads to an open-plan kitchen/living/dining space with stylish floorboards throughout. There’s a 3 seater sofa which converts to a double bed if needed, an occasional chair, a large smart TV, a rug for winter comfort and a round dining table for 2 people. Glass sliding doors lead out to a quaint balcony with urban views. The kitchen comes equipped with an induction cooktop, an under-bench electric oven, a microwave, medium sized fridge and coffee machine. The downstairs bathroom provides a toilet and laundry facilities, including a Hisense front-loader washing machine and separate Westinghouse dryer.
A flight of stairs takes you up to the carpeted bedroom, offering a queen sized bed, mirrored wardrobes and block-out blinds for sleep-ins or sheer curtains for light and privacy. There’s an ensuite bathroom with a toilet, and a roomy shower recess with a frameless glass screen. The bedroom also comes with 2 balconies, 1 of which has an outdoor setting for 2 people and urban views across Broadway.
The Neighborhood:
The apartment is located in the charming inner city suburb of Darlington, only 3 kilometres south of Sydney’s CBD (Downtown), with eateries, bars and transport options all within an easy walk. There’s a choice of either a Foodworks supermarket or a Woolworths metro, both 8 minutes walk away. The Seymour Centre for performing arts is a 6 minute stroll from the apartment, while the University of Sydney is 8 minutes away on foot. Victoria Park, home to Sydney’s Mardi Gras Fair Day every February, is just 9 minutes’ walk, also offering a heated 50 metre swimming pool and fitness centre. It’s under 15 minutes’ walk to the Broadway Shopping Centre, where you’ll enjoy a great selection of eateries, bars, shops and services. Sydney’s popular, eclectic Newtown shopping precinct is only a few minutes’ drive away.
Getting Around:
The apartment comes with a dedicated, secure undercover parking space for 1 car. For guests who prefer public transport, Redfern train station is only 8 minutes’ walk away, and nearby buses also service the area.
Other Things to Note:
* Due to strict noise policies in strata buildings and Australian council by-laws, guests must avoid making loud noise, particularly between the hours of 10 pm – 8 am. Please understand that guests who break this rule may be evicted and financial penalties may also apply, depending on the circumstances.
* An additional $40 will be charged to your total if a check-in happens after 8 pm, and we require your arrival time as the Concierge does not live on site.
* A mandatory full clean of the property and complete linen change will be done every 4 weeks and added to your total booking amount for any booking longer than a month. This will be added to your total amount and processed separately.
* Extra $40/night will be charged for guests after 2 or if the sofa bed needs to be prepared.
*If you are eligible for a full refund as per our cancellation policy, a processing fee of $50 still applies.
*After check-in, if you choose to shorten your stay, you will receive a 50% refund of the unused nights of your booking.
