"My wife and I stayed here for four nights with our dog to get away and spend some time together, and this place was perfect. In the mornings we’d make breakfast with the fresh eggs that were in the fridge when we arrived, and we’d drink coffee on the covered back porch. Seth and Julie also had a binder with a list of things to do, which we used to hike some trails. For some reason, our GPS would say we had a much longer drive to the trail locations while we were at the house, but when we got to the main road, it would shave 30 minutes off the drive time. We grilled dinner every night, and the garage had both a gas and charcoal grill to use. We used the charcoal grill, and grilling tools and a charcoal chimney were also there at the house. We also made a fire in the wood stove a couple of nights, and it really gets the room warm and cozy. It rained all day on one of the days, but there were so many games that we had plenty to do. Each bedroom is spacious, and one of the reasons we chose this place was because it had a King size bed. We had a great stay, and it’s clear Seth and Julie want you to have everything you need. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future."

"Loved having the "secluded cabin in the woods feel" while still being within 20 minutes of the town of Elkton and one of the national park entrances. Convenient location for the national park explorers. Harrisonburg was not far either if you needed a bigger grocery store or restaurant options. Very clean and cozy! The hosts made us feel welcome with a thank you card and bottle of wine waiting for us in the kitchen. Would definitely go back!"

"Our stay at the Secluded Zen River Retreat was simply magical! Nestled deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains, this peaceful escape provided breathtaking views, soothing river sounds, and an abundance of nature. We loved exploring the walking trails, relaxing by the river, and unwinding on the large deck. The open dining area and cozy wood stove made it feel like home. Perfect for nature lovers and anyone seeking tranquility. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway!"

"There were balloons and candy for our anniversary which was so thoughtful. The cabin was lovely, very clean and fully stocked. We enjoyed grilling out on back deck and sitting around fire pit. The cabin was back off the beaten path and was so quiet and rwlqcing. We would definitely go back and stay again! "

"Fantastic place to stay! So much to do in this VRBO! Loved hearing the water from the creek, wonderful fire pit with lights and s’mores, big projector for movies, hot tub after day hikes in Shenandoah, corn hole, tons of games and fun record player to listen to old music. Well appointed house with lovely decorations."

"The property is newly renovated and the pictures match the website, its a tranquil property with a beautiful yard and a lot of wildlife around. Kitchen is well stocked with the essentials and loved the small details throughout the house which made our stay comfortable - for example, the dog toys and bowls for our dog to eat food. New hot tub and 3 season porch were a real favorite of the family. A drawback of the property is that it is 15 mins away from the nearest grocery store and restaurants and even then the town of Elkton has limited services, the nearest town with real activity is Harrisonburg which is 45 minutes away. We did like how close this property was to the National Park entrance and went into the park multiple times during our stay to hike and hang out at the various scenic overlooks."
