Great place for a trip to Michigan. The location is perfect. The lodging was very clean, spacious and comfortable. Having wine tasting and really good food on site is a big plus. We will be coming back next time we are up north in Michigan.
Wonderful clean apartment. Thai restaurant fantastic. White sandy beach across the street. Suttons Bay town and wineries easily accessible as well as the great bike paths. Second time coming here. Thank you
We loved our stay! The apartment is above the winery and spacious. It was surprisingly quiet. There is a stand alone air conditioning unit in the bedroom that cooled the entire apartment. The hosts were great and easy to talk with! The restaurant downstairs had great food and drink options.Centrally located between downtown Suttons Bay and Traverse City. Across the street is a DNR boat launch and a quiet “private beach”for guests enjoyment. We will be back!!
My friend and I were looking for a girls weekend getaway to Suttons Bay. The apartment was just as it appeared, but exceeded our expectations. The place was immaculate and met all of our needs without issue. The staff was very friendly and Richard and Salve were wonderful hosts.
The attached Thai restaurant was our favorite of all of the places we dined that weekend! We really appreciate Richard and Salve for the wonderful stay and are looking forward to our next trip up there. We will definitely be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location was convenient between Traverse City and Suttons Bay and the property was just as advertised. The rental was lightly stocked but was clean and had all the essentials we needed and the hosts were responsive. We would definitely stay here again!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hawkins Farms. Our apartment was perfect for us. Super clean throughout and it had nice extras, beach towels, coffee beans, etc. we’d definitely stay there again!!
The rental was great, perfect location and the thai food was delicious. There was a portable air conditioner in the bedroom which worked for me as i usually have a box fan, but the rental kept cool even during a 85-90 degree weekend. Super easy check in.
It was an excellent experience. From the friendliness of the staff, the delicious food and wine, the comfort of the unit, to the great location- it was a 10 out of 10 stay! We would highly recommend it!
Great location for access to bike trails and wine tastings. There is amazing Thai food on the property as well as pizza and wine tasting. Huge parking lot available for bike trailers, boats, etc. One note - this is a second floor apartment above a restaurant but noise was not an issue as they close by 9:00. Very clean and contained all the necessities.

Great Location, Quiet Retreat
Our family of 5 stayed in this apartment for 8 days. It was clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The kitchen is equipped with enough to prepare simple meals. We were both surprised with how quiet the space is given that it is located on a fairly busy road. The kids loved it...especially going out back to look for frogs every morning. We will definitely be staying again when we are in this area.

Beautiful Convenient Clean
Everything about our experience was wonderful! The place was clean and very large. It was convenient to go to Traverse City or any of the small towns in the area. It’s was very comfortable for our family of 4. Rich was very nice and accommodating.
I know we will be coming back to stay in the future! Thanks for everything!

Boating Trip
Stay was great!!
Only thing that I will be looking into with VRBO is the $350 I was charged for an addition person. Communication with property owner was bad.
The property was exactly as described and very comfortable. Great location for taking excursions around the bay. One thing, that they might not be aware of is the coffee maker is not functioning right. It wouldn't drip and backed up out of the filter. Might just need a good cleaning but other than that all was great!

Lovely honeymoon
We had a lovely honeymoon. This was a nice starting point for all of our day trips. The kitchen had the appliances we needed. However, the dishwasher was broken, so I wouldn’t count on that for your stay.
Had a little mix up about our check-in, but Salve arrived pretty quickly when we reached her. She also made us delicious southwest egg rolls and a bottle of wine for our trouble!
The furniture was all comfy. Plenty of closet space in the bedroom. It was nice to have a full length mirror for getting ready.
We had the most amazing stay at Hawkins Farms Cellars. We had never been to Northern Michigan before and had the best time exploring. The beach across the street is great for looking for rocks. Found a Petoskey stone or two. You will want water shoes.
I was amazed by how clean the rental was. You could tell they paid attention to the details. The room had a very comfortable king size bed and the living room has a pull out couch. Our 12 year old twins stayed on the pull out couch and were fine. The rental had all the pans and dishes we needed. Coffee pot worked great. But please please do not miss the restaurant down stairs. The food was excellent but we did not realize they were closed Monday and Tuesday so we did not get to try all the menu items we wanted to taste. The restaurant staff was so friendly and helpful with information about the area. The Chef and her brother could not have been nicer. Can’t say enough about this place. We will definitely be back!! One suggestion would be coat hooks downstairs where you leave your shoes. ☺️
I also personally liked the location. Basically equal distance to TC or Suttons Bay. We headed in both directions for various things.
We stayed in an upstairs apartment above a busy restaurant in a quaint barn like structure. The restaurant closed down by 9 so no issues with noise. The chef is amazing, check it out...Thai food is incredible. We got a chance to speak with owner a few times. Nice man!
Bed is super comfy.
The beach across the street is a big plus. Lots of rock hunting and swimming opportunities. If you are doing a lot of eating in, the kitchen is bare bones so bring what you need. There are bare basics. Overall a good stay with nice people. We spent most of our time off site, touring up the bay and into the surrounding area. It is a nice place to be to move up the bay and the coast a bit. Lovely scenery!
Great place to stay. Comfortable rooms. Equipped kitchen if you want to cook but no need. Great restaurant on site. Great restaurants near by. We plan to be back next summer.
