"Our experience at Daniele and Pascal’s house in Thannenkirch was a 5-star experience. Daniele and Pascal were charming, generous, friendly, and helpful which, of course, helped make our stay a memorable one. The house itself is a gem and we didn’t lack for anything. "We share the positive reviews of many aspects of this property. It's very spacious (although the swing of some doors cause odd pinch points). We were only three, and would have used only the ground floor but for an issue (see later). The kitchen is well equipped, the induction stovetop was great to cook on. The location is properly noted, but Marie's L'épicerie in the village was closed for August vacation. (Which I imagine is an annual event.) That meant we needed to drive 6+ km for morning...

"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....
