Classic Beachfront Sullivan's Island Retreat with Pool & Hot Tub

This amazing house is difficult to describe in words so please check out the video after the second picture of the slide show of pictures at the top of the page.

Spectacular ocean views from every bedroom as well as outdoor hot tub and private pool are only the beginning to the seemingly endless amenities that come with this oceanfront home on the best beach on Sullivan’s Island.

The spacious deck wrapping around three sides of the house creates porches off every bedroom. When not relaxing on the beach, by the pool or in the hot tub, you can enjoy the full-sized pool table or cook-out on the deluxe gas grill.

First Floor: The first floor boasts a huge open area kitchen, den and dining room with an entire wall of windows facing the ocean. Having the large kitchen attached to the den and dining area allows for guests to enjoy cooking, eating, or playing pool while overlooking and listening to the calming sounds of the ocean waves.

Down the hall are three bedrooms - one king (K), one queen (Q) and two twin bunk beds (TT) – which share two and a half bathrooms. All of these spacious bedrooms have sliding glass doors opening to the deck or screen porch overlooking the beach.

Second Floor: The second floor offers one king (K) and on equeen (Q) size bedrooms, a full bathroom, and small living area with a sofa bed. Both bedrooms open onto a second floor deck complete overlooking the ocean.

The house has recently been renovated and includes three flat screen TVs with Apple TV, two DVD players and digital cable. This perfectly-located oceanfront home will take your beach vacation to a new level!

One of the families that owns the house lives a mere two blocks down the beach and includes two very responsible teen daughters who love children...so our almost in-house babysitting option can provide a huge benefit to families traveling with children.

Memorial Day Weekend Beach Vaca
This home is your classic old school beach cottage with a picture-perfect oceanfront location on Sullivans Island. The home has absolutely everything you need for a great beach vacation. The beach and ocean are the main attraction, but having a pool and hot tub to come back to in the afternoon/evening is the perfect place to unwind after a long day at the beach. The home is very well stocked in the kitchen, laundry room, and all bedrooms and bathrooms. And the beds/linens were super comfortable. Puzzles, games, poker, books, and beach toys are plentiful should you need something more than the beach and sun to pass the time. The property manager (Sara) is super responsive and helpful should you need any questions answered. Definitely 5-stars for this property!

We had an amazing time at the Ick! The house has tons of deck and interior space to accommodate any wish or need. The location is perfect to take advantage of the gorgeous beach and downtown while still a quick hop into Charleston. Would definitely come back again!

Great beach stay
House was big, clean, and just as pictured. Well stocked and had everything you would need for a great beach vacation. Location is perfect for spending time at the beach, you can just wake up and walk right out to the beach, and don’t have to worry about dragging anything with you. Also close to all the restaurants of Sullivan’s Island, IOP and not far from Mt Pleasant either. Mgmt and checkin process was super easy as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Terrific Location on the BEACH
This house is located on a gorgeous stretch of beach. If you want waves and views, you can not do better. Many bedrooms, lovely linens, well stocked kitchen. Great for a group!

This spacious beach front home is sitting on one of the most beautiful lots we have seen. Beautiful ocean views from many rooms. Our family of ten had plenty of room. The decks, gas grill and ice machine were great amenities.

Hard to beat.
We REALLY enjoyed our time at “The Ick”. It’s location is literally so perfect. Both the location and access to the beach and just how “beach front” it is. It’s almost like beach front corner! Also the location to the great restaurants and bars on Sully’s and easy access to IOP for grocery’s and golf (in our case). The main living space worked great for a big group and the pool and pool table were put to use each day. It would be really hard to be the value and vibes this wonderful beach house produced for us. We loved our stay!

We have been staying at this home since 2020. We love that it is right on the beach and dog friendly! We love watching all of the dogs run around in the morning and taking our furry friends out to frolic with the other pups.

The location of this property was unmatched. The layout of the house was perfect to accommodate 3 different family groups that were staying and the kitchen was stocked with every gadget imaginable. Check-in was a breeze even after our flight was delayed 5 hours. I would have appreciated better communication regarding the baby supplies at the house- there are more than are mentioned! We ended up borrowing a pack n play bc we were under the impression there was only 1 when there are actually 3 and we wouldn’t have had to go through that inconvenience. Would love to see some more beach supplies as well. We had 1 working chair. Overall a great experience and we would love to visit again!

Location and beach view was magnificent. The property accommodated our large family including our dogs. Couldn’t ask for a better beach access! Although the house could use some serious love, it is a beach house and we appreciate its age. We had the pleasure of meeting Jeff. Everyone who stays there should have that pleasure. Spectacular views!!
We had a beautiful vacation with our kids and grandkids! We have never stayed in a house with more gorgeous views from any room of the house and for that reason alone I would stay there again in a heartbeat! That being said, the appliances are pretty old and the entire house is in desperate need of updates and plumbing repairs. The kitchen was well stocked, however, and location is ideal! The pool was a big plus also!! Love Sullivans Island so much and this stay was a blessing!

Sullivans Island Old School Beach House
We had a wonderful time staying in this "Old School" beach house! If you want fancy and new this is not the place but if you want a good swinging screen door, not have to worry about bringing sand into the house (swept every day and still couldn't keep up!), and able to bring your pups along, this IS the place for you! The location is perfect, as it is at the IOP end of the island, and access to the HT on IOP is easy. We rented a golf cart to get around the island when going to lunch or dinner. There are certainly things that the owners could tend to in order to bring it closer to par (Kitchen cabinets, towel bar in the upstairs bathroom) but all in all it was just as we expected. We had a delightful time at the beach at the ICK - it was just to short a stay! We will be back!

Great Location, Needs Updating and Upkeep
This house is in a great location right on the beach, in a very quiet area. It was perfect being able to see the ocean from every angle. Below is a list of pros and cons we found about this house to keep this review honest. We probably would not stay here again because we feel it is very expensive and the house needs a lot of updating and upkeep to make it worth the price. If they closed this down for a few weeks or a month and really did some work on the house, it would definitely be worth the money. Pro: - Right on the beach - Dog friendly - Beautiful views - Very clean - Nice amenities of towels, linens, toiletries - Nicely stock kitchen of pots, pans, appliances - Lovely screened in porch Cons - Pool is not heated, unless you go in the dead of summer, it is too cold to swim in the pool prior to June/July - Pool is not maintained. Someone comes to check the levels but they do not clean the pool. There were bugs everywhere at the bottom and floating around the pool. - Lawn is not maintained so there are burs everywhere. My son stepped in the grass and got burs stuck in his feet. We picked them out for days. Same with the dog. - Deck needs a lot of updating and maintenance. Always wear shoes on the deck or else you will be picking out splinters. Railings will also cause splinters. - Overall upkeep of the house is pretty poor, cabinets are falling off, nails exposed, ceiling was leaking water in the kids room, paint chipping off in multiple rooms.

Buyer Beware
Great location (though not for swimming) but this property is in pretty rough shape. At the price the owners are charging, the condition of this house is very insulting. The kitchen cabinets are literally falling off the hinges (some are off and they haven't replaced them) and they're REALLY sticky, which was gross. The appliances are rusted. The gas grill was also in really bad shape; replacing this would be such a simple and considerate thing for the owners to do. The deck is rotting in many places and you must watch out for splinters - it would be treacherous for families with young kids. It would behoove the owners to take the house off the market for a week or two and do some basic maintenance, Beautiful views, but I'd take my money somewhere else.
