Every year in June, the popular KlangRauschTreffen takes place in the museum village of Hösseringen, with many musicians and music lovers, a dance stage, chill-out tent and workshops.
Ein besonderes Highlight der Region ist das 3-tägige Open R Festival in Uelzen – namhafte Musiker und Bands aus Metal, Pop, Rock und Schlager locken jährlich bis zu 30.000 Musikfans in die Hansestadt, nur rund 20 km vom Heidjerhaus in Hösseringen entfernt. Das Heidjerhaus ist Hösseringen ist ein über 300 Jahre altes Fachwerkhaus. Es wurde 1710 erbaut und stand ursprünglich knapp 20 km entfernt in Stadorf, ebenfalls im Landkreis Uelzen. Die Findlinge des Fundaments stammen von der abgerissenen Napoleonbrücke in Bad Bodenteich.
Das Heidjerhaus ist ein Dreiständerhaus und somit eine Zwischenform aus Zwei- und Vierständerbau. Die Deckenbalken reichen von Außenwand zu Außenwand und werden im Haus noch einmal durch eine Holzstütze getragen. Es handelt sich somit um durchlaufende Balken auf drei Stützen. Von außen lässt sich der Haustyp oft an der Asymmetrie erkennen. Diele und Tor befinden sich nicht direkt unter der Firstspitze.
Die stützenden Eichenbalken im Inneren prägen das Heidjerhaus noch heute, ebenso wie die große, asymmetrisch versetzte Eingangstür.
