"Everything about this retreat is just amazing. From the time you enter the property you are greeted with such warm hospitality and i love the fact how they personalized our experience to make it feel more special. Thanks to the staff for going above and beyond in setting arrangements for my wife’s birthday she completely loved it. The retreat hosts daily classes which were very full-filing and educational. The location is perfect, its somewhat secluded in a very peaceful and tranquil space, however we were still able to walk maybe 5-10 minutes to local markets and shops. Overall i highly recommend this retreat, it was perfect. "

"Amazing all around experience "

"The location is perfect. Right outside the hotel is Think Park, where you can enjoy restaurants and bars without worrying about the time. Across the main road is the MAYA Shopping Center, and just a short walk away is the trendy Nimmanhaemin area. The downside is that the music from Think Park can be noisy until late at night. Since the room windows are not soundproof, the noise from outside is clearly audible and can disrupt sleep. As for the hotel facilities, one inconvenience is the lack of power outlets. In the living room, the only outlet is hidden behind the TV, and there are none by the bedside. In the kitchen, the outlets are positioned quite high up, and aside from that, the only other outlet is in the bathroom. To use the electric kettle, you have to plug it in the bathroom. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower is somewhat low, and the hot water isn’t very warm. Other than these issues, the hotel was very comfortable overall."

"What an amazing place. First the location is great as it is right in the heart of the old city, near the night bazaar and many restaurants. The actual property itself is absolutely beautiful with well kept interiors and lawns, including private books and crannies. The breakfast was great with a lot of selections. The pool is great, especially if you have kids as it has a water slide and whole kids play area in the pool. Basically the place is definitely top tier. The only negative I would have to say is that it is a bit pricey compared to most hotels in Chiang Mai, and also that it's size can make it feel less personal and inviting than other hotels. that being said, one event sealed the deal for us and made a one night stay turn to 4. I lost my camera at an event off-site from, but booked through the hotel. I called them to ask if there was anything they could do (assuming I my camera was a loss). Patt from the hotel staff (who has been incredibly helpful throughout our visit) said she would call the golf course where I lost my camera. less than 40 minutes later she informed me that not only had they found my camera, but the course was going to drop it off at the hotel for me! I had my camera back the next day. I cannot begin to express how amazing the level of support made us feel, and how thankful and impressed I am with the staff at both the Shangri-La and the Gasson Panorama Golf Club. I will be singing their praises for years to come "
