Owners main residence. We live here in the off season and camp close by during the rental season. Not a corporate owned property.
Lots of cozy personal touches and we do the cleaning ourselves, so it is always in tip top shape.

Unlimited seasoned firewood to burn for campfires.

This is an absolutely lovely 2400 sf, 2 story home with 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms newly remodeled with terrific technology and generous amenities. Barn wood walls and beam accents along with some select antiques mixes a rustic feel with modern, updated style. Enjoy the professionally landscaped outdoors and beautiful woods on a 600 sf wrap-around deck with a great elevated view overlooking over 5 acres of mature pines, maples, oaks and birch.
Open concept first floor great room/kitchen area has a large wood burning stone fireplace with 9 ft hearth and a 65" smart TV. Plenty of comfortable seating for relaxing and dining. Two sets of French doors accessing deck with multiple windows bring nature indoors. Spacious half bath on main floor.
Brand new, fully appointed kitchen features stainless Jenn-Air appliances with granite countertops and stone backsplash. 5 burner induction cook-top on island with prep sink. Generously stocked pantry with plenty of spices.
Large and small gas grills, complete indoor/outdoor surround sound system with subwoofer. Speakers in ceiling and on the deck. Entertainment system with DirecTV, DVD and bluetooth Denon receiver.
Upstairs—Three bedrooms including Master with attached private full bath and king bed and a 42" flat screen TV. The two additional upstairs bedrooms each have queen beds and share a full bath with tub/shower. Washer/dryer available upstairs as well.
Lower level--Two bedrooms; both with queen beds and second with a twin bunk bed, full bath and a living room with 48" flat screen. All Tv's have DirecTV sports package. DVD player in both living rooms.
This beautiful, private home is located just 5 minutes south of Egg Harbor, and 15 minutes north of Sturgeon Bay – Located one mile west of Route 42 at end of cul-de-sac with no traffic on a private gravel road. One mile walk to Carlsville featuring Door County Coffee, Door Peninsula Winery, and the Roadhouse of Carlsville.
3-7 day rentals only in June, July and August. Free day if you rent the full week.
2-night minimum other months.

Regarding room taxes--State 5.5% tax will show up in the booking process as will Door Co 8%.

Great Place to Host a Get Together
Absolutely wonderful place to stay. Many amenities and comforts available for a short or long stay. Our host was great to work with and helped make our rental really enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for somewhere located in the Sturgeon Bay Area.

Amazing House with Great Amenities
We really enjoyed our stay. The house is huge and very well stocked. Everyone had their own space and we had everything we needed to cook some big family meals for 10 people. The outdoor space is stunning and the wineries and water activities were all so close to the property. We can't wait to come back!

Great place and great location. We had a lager group of family and friends coming from multiple directions. This was the perfect set-up for us, to be able to spend time together when we weren't visiting Door County spots.

We spent an extended family weekend, and this house worked great. We had 3 generations with family units able to spread out but still right there to congregate. Very beautiful interior with modern updates while maintaining country getaway atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Perfect Place for girls trip
Beautiful property located off the beaten path. We used it for a girls weekend and it was perfect. Loved the high end appliances, large deck, and spacious home. Lane was great with updating me on check in and check out details. House was very well stocked. We never got a chance to use the fire pit, but it looked great and there was plenty of wood right by it.

We loved everything about this house! It’s just down the road from Door Peninsula winery and is on a dead end which is great! Plenty of room for us 6 girls to sleep comfortably in our own bed. 5 rooms with 1 room with a bed and bunk bed. The house had everything you need. Loved that it was secluded. Lane was super responsive and proactive in giving us helpful information prior to our stay. The whole space and vibe is very comfortable for a bigger group.

Family reunion destination
Great experience with lots of space for various activities. We loved the basketball court and the open garage space. We spent many nights playing poker in there without worrying about waking up the rest of the house. Loved the fire pit and deck space as well with the awesome weather. Internet was slower but had to set expectations given our tech hungry teens and their devices plus the given we were in a remote location on purpose. All good in the end.

A Must-Stay House!
We just wrapped up an incredible family vacation week in Door County! This house was everything... And then some!! It had everything you could possibly need, right down to Tupperware for leftovers to bring home! The house was spacious and comfortable. There are plenty of hangout spaces and something for everyone. Whether you want to lounge on the deck with a book or have a family game night! The beds were incredibly comfortable and there was plenty to do for the kiddos (ping pong, basketball, games, etc)! Communication was stellar right from the start! Thank you for sharing your wonderful house with us!

Not 5 Star House, it's a 6 Star House!
This Carlsville house was above & beyond any expectations I could ever have for a Door County rental. Beautiful house & equally beautiful deck & grounds. I was blown away by how well stocked this house was. We came up for a multi-generational family reunion in Jacksonport & everyone who came by was equally impressed with this house, even my cousins who live in Door County. And BTW this 6 star house comes with a 6 star host in Lane. VBRO should list him as a super, super host. Carlsville House is our new #1 rental spot in Door County. Bonus- a winery, a distillery & a coffee spot right around the corner. What else do you really need? Except cherries & cheese curds....

Gourmet Kitchen
Pantry was super stocked with all kinds of spices and seasonings. Most complete selection of pots/pans/skillets/utensils I have seen in any kitchen. We cooked every breakfast and dinner in the house. The outside grill was like new and we enjoyed having the whole family sit down to eat together at the table on the deck. The layout of the house served our needs very well. The grandchildren could nap in the basement without being awakened by activity upstairs. The bunkbed was a delight for the 3-year-old. Every floor was safe for the learning-how-to-walk-one-year-old. Beds comfortable. Plenty of seating for our family of 10. Very relaxing location with view of trees/woods from every window. We enjoyed watching the turkeys roost in the trees one evening. Very inviting firepit with plenty of wood provided. We drove 10-30 minutes to various sites on the peninsula each day. Always a little drive but not too far. Lane responded immediately to two inquiries and very accommodating.

Fantastic experience. It seems the house has been recently upgraded with all new appliances and enough space for 4 families including kids. The music system was a pleasant surprise. The deck on the outside was a perfect place for morning breakfast in the fall colors. Lane was hospitable and also allowed us to share some of the grocery items, not to mention a bottle of wine as well for his guests. I would love to visit this place again.
