The house was built in 1965 when quality of construction mattered including beautiful terrazzo floors throughout. The house is located in a safe, friendly neighborhood with quaint homes, mature tropical landscape, quiet street and sidewalks. The well equipped kitchen has been updated, mattresses are very comfortable and linens are updated and refreshed often. The comfortable furnishings, art and decor provide a warm welcome.

The cottage is a single family home with 2 outdoor living spaces including a private landscaped and securely fenced back yard. You have private access to it all!
I prefer email communication, but we also provide our cell phones if guests prefer to text or call during their stay. This allows the guests to choose how much communication they prefer. I find that some guests are happy with no communication while others prefer to meet us in person. We live in the neighboring community are available to meet with guest as requested.
Pet and people friendly, the house has 2 outdoor living areas: a covered side patio just outside the kitchen and the former orchid house in the private landscaped backyard. The quiet neighborhood is a nice mix of families, seniors and working professionals with a sidewalk perfect for strolls, bike rides and pet walks. The location is close to everything a visitor comes to the Treasure Coast seeking. The drive, walk or bike ride to beautiful Martin County beaches is just over the causeway bridges providing stunning views which still amaze me even though I live in the area. Historic downtown Stuart 1.5 miles west is the hub of local activity...shopping, restaurants & bars, festivals, special events etc...or nice place to people watch, or sit on a bench overlooking the Indian River Lagoon and 'contemplate life'.

Car transportation is common; there is no public transportation near by. I have had guests who have stayed without a car, but they have family in the area. Everything needed for a stay is within walking distance including grocery store, drug store, dollar store, restaurants, bars, shops and even the hospital.
We ask that you review the House Rules Notebook in the house upon arrival which lists house instructions (trash and recycled pick up days, WiFi access codes etc.) You will also find a 'Things To Do' Notebook with loads of information...maps, menus, brochures etc. There is space for 2 cars to park in the driveway in front of the house. Please do not block sidewalk when parking cars.
