"After staying at different hotels of varying quality at varying prices for around two months now, I can say definitively that for the purpose of a relaxed and worthwhile trip, Hotel Gwarna is the best option I have found in all of Europe. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and not just for the hotel- the attached gym and restaurant provide a way to counter the number one thing that made me homesick in Europe, being able to eat (sort of) at home and going to the gym. Combined with the wonderful city around it and easy access to all that one could hope for in terms of convenience, this hotel will give you the best experience available for the most reasonable price. "The staff at this hotel are professional and very helpful. Evening waiting staff in the restaurant were outstanding, as was the Chef who produced fabulous evening meals. Hotel was clean - the only disappointment was that the bathroom extractor fan didn't work, so very warm air entered the bedroom. Also, the shower curtain was old and not pleasant to use - shower curtains should be obsolete in good hotels! The safety handle above the bath was loose. It was very warm and the aircon is limited to 21deg C - far too warm. We roasted! Putting this aside, there was excellent secure parking and the food, room and staff were so pleasant that we elected to stay another night. A change immediately and pleasantly accommodated by our hosts."
