Truly STUNNING VIEW from "amazing cottage" in AONB

Truly stunning views, both near and far from this stylish & characterful Cotswold Cottage. A great Romantic retreat but good for family and friends too!
WE are coming back to vrbo so do read our reviews of 2023 and before. We've made a few great updates at the cottage too.

THE COTTAGE
Delight in the evening sunsets with a glass of wine on the balcony overlooking your garden, bbq area & beyond- perfect for some quality r&r (Rest & Relaxation). As night falls, the distant sparkling lights are a magical distraction from the hours of darkness... always something to see. This will be a unique stay & definitely a change of scenery!

More about the cottage...THE CHARACTERFUL COTTAGE, with modern conveniences has wooden beams, oak window frames, a stone fireplace for the cosy log burner.
Decorated with quality furnishings & furniture, it displays an eclectic mix of old & new. Enjoy the finishing touches & attention to detail from a host who has created her perfect place!

IN SUMMER, throw open all the double doors & allow the space to flow outdoors to the lovely garden for an al fresco BBQ on the circular terrace with uninterrupted views. Take time out for the R&R taking in that view while lounging on the
pod seat for two, dine al fresco & light the chimenia as the evening cools.
IN WINTER months relax in front of the Cotswold stone fireplace, light the cosy log burner for snug lock-in evening, a good read or playing some "vintage" games, (fully centrally heated & double glazing too)!

A Perfect Romantic stay for couples but comfortable for up to 4 guests + baby in a cot.

* small children's pikler style indoor wooden playframe available to hire, (under parental supervision at all times, please ask in advance)

KITCHEN-DINING is spacious open plan

* very well equipped kitchen,
* white crockery & good selection of glasses for most occasions
* pretty vintage teawares for a traditional cream tea at home
* dishwasher, wash machine, full size family fridge freezer, microwave, oven & ceramic hob,
* juicer, slow cooker, electric hand held whisk, cream whisk, toastie maker, fondue set, air fryer, toaster,
* caffetiere and a DeLonghi barrister expresso coffee maker for ground coffee.

DRIVE PARKING
* driveway parking for 1 car
There is driveway parking, outside our cottage for one car. We do advise at all times that guests see each other out of the drive, as the Cotswolds stone walls & lanes can block a clear view, a second car can park in the lane opposite or the nearby in the layby.

We, the owners live next door, & have 2+1 dogs.
Do ask at booking, if you are at all unsure about dogs, as they maybe sunbathing in the shared driveway.
(I am sorry but we cannot accept your pets at the cottage- ours are not allowed in the cottage either!)

It is important to us that our cottage meets your needs and expectations, for your time away. So having read all the above, please ask if you have questions before booking and we will happily expand on any information. All we want is for you have the most enjoyable stay!

EATING OUT
The area is spoilt for choice on eating out within 2 or 3 miles and some casual walkable options too. The info folder in the cottage will give you plenty of ideas or I can give you a few of my recommendations to look up before staying. (The inhouse folder has extensive info on everything local with pics to help you chose your days out.)

TO DO
There is genuinely so much to do and see....
A Saturday morning a visit to the amazing Strouds' award winning farmers market 2 miles away is a must, if only to experience the Stroud buzz. There are some great local delights for the foodie enthusiast found there.
Wonderful walks on the beautiful NT common in AONB or along the canal under restoration, excellent eating out, auctions as on TV, Berkeley castle, Wildfowl Park at Slimbridge, Westonbirt Arboretum, Woodchester mansion, Stroud brewery, picnics at Beaufort or Cirencester polo in the summer, vintage shopping, plenty of golf courses and well situated for visiting many picturesque Cotswolds villages too...
Painswick & the Rococo gardens 15minutes away
Tetbury is 20 minutes away, full of antique shops, & Highgrove nearby
Westonbirt Arboretum is 20 minutes away
Minchinhampton & Gatcombe Park Equine eventing is 5 minutes. Badminton is only 8 miles away too- but sorry we cant block the views with a horsebox!
Known as the "undiscovered Cotswolds", the Stroud valleys & villages are full artisan charactersof share a wealth of history, exciting geography, , & great eating out to explore too!
There is plenty to experience in this beautiful part of the Cotswolds and that is if you can tear yourself away from looking at the view.
