Lovely property with amazing views, in a nice quiet area. very clean. The owner was super helpful too. We would return to this area and to this property without hesitation.

Wow! Just Wow!
The place is modern and has everything you need to be self sufficient. The host is really great -- friendly and easy to communicate with, very accommodating, with lots of advice and recommendations in the local area. The view from inside and the balcony however, is what makes this place truly special. The pictures really do not do it justice. You're perched on a hillside well above the lake, and you're overlooking the lake and the mountains as a backdrop. The sky is stunning at sunrise and sunset from your view, and just sitting on your balcony and having a cup of coffee or glass of wine is pure zen. Glad we didn't stay in the town of Stresa (5 min drive), and rather stayed at the wonderful place.

Brilliant Holiday at Bella Vista Apartments at Stresa
We had a superb time visiting Stresa and the magical islands on Lake Maggiore. The views of the lake from our balcony were beautiful, the apartment was superb and the owners ,Dana and Guiseppe, were charming, helpful and efficient and they ensured that our stay was trouble free Stresa is a beautiful town set on the lakeside with all the facilities that a holiday maker could desire. It is only a 5/10 min drive into Stresa from the apartment (depending how fast you take the many hairpin bends!!) but don't worry its great fun! Dana recommended some local restaurants which we tried and enjoyed and we also ate in some of the restaurants in the centre of Stresa (Piazza Cadorna) and we didn't have a bad meal all holiday. We had no trouble finding a parking space (mainly in the car park at the ferry terminal) although I bet they get busy in August! A visit to Isola Bella and Isola Madre is a must, they are magical!! We have visited Lake Garda and Lake Como previously and thoroughly enjoyed both and now would also rank Lake Maggiore as one of our favourites.

Rooms With A View
We spent two weeks in this magnificent apartment. We loved the apartment and will stay there again if we are in the area. It is super clean and really well appointed, with modern decoration and plenty of space for the two of us. The view is magnificent, irrespective of the time of day or the weather. Our hosts were welcoming and immediately attended to a small matter that arose during the stay. A car is necessary to stay here but secure on site parking meant we virtually drove to our front door. There are restaurants nearby and the location is central for day trips to the north, south and west.

Lovely flat with great views (weather permitting :-) )
The owners of the flat are really friendly and helpful. A special thanks to I presume Dana, who left the delicious cookies in the flat. We ate them all and went to buy more. :-) The flat is spacious, international TV channels (SKY), the bathroom has a big shower and lots of space for everything. The kitchen is modern too, though it could use a big pot for boiling pasta, a few small metal bowels etc and a dishwashing machine or lazy visitors. As we never cooked, we didn't miss it too much. The flat has heating and an air conditioner. We had a bit of bad luck with the weather, it was really foggy so we couldn't really go hiking as we planned to and couldn't see the great view from the balcony. However, when the fog then cleared up after Day 6 of 7, we were rewarded with a spectacular view. I hope we have better luck with the weather next time we come.

Great Accommodation
This was our first experience of the Italian Lakes and the apartment had superb views over Lake Maggiore. Both Dana & Guiseppe were welcoming and helpful. The apartment was equipped with most items and nicely furnished. The only real caution I would mention is that if two couples were sharing this one bedroomed apartment there is only one two seater sofa ( doubles as the second double bed ) which would have been quite insufficient if we had, as originally planned, holidayed with our friends. For two people however it was fine.

Wonderful apartment above Stresa, Italy
This apartment was in a completely renovated, modern building about a 10 minute drive above Stresa with a beautiful View of Lake Maggiore. There was a well equipped kitchen and a large balcony with table and 4 chairs, a breakfast bar facing the lake and free gated parking. There was also an open area above the parking area with chairs, padded chaise lounges and a grill. There were 2 or 3 restaurants in the area and many excellent restaurants in Stresa. Giuseppe was great to work with and very informative. There were also English language TV stations which are not plentiful in most Italian apartments. I would highly recommend this apartment if staying in the area, and would definitely stay here again.

This quiet Eagle's Nest has Everything!
This is one of those few apartments that have everything ─ and everything in such excellent condition.* We sat on the terrace and enjoyed the superb view over Lago Maggiore and, on a clear day, the Alps , sipping our drinks and seated in comfortable rattan chairs. The view through the wrought iron balustrade was of Stresa's lights twinkling far below. When it got chilly we moved into the sitting-room and watched numerous English-language channels on the television. The king-size bed was as comfortable as the one at home and the shower and bathroom were much bigger than ours. Everything was spotless: clearly Giuseppe and Dana, who lived on the premises, were very efficient landlords! The apartment itself would more than justify the full five stars. However its location is on an extremely steep slope. The village of Someraro is within walking distance but the gradients are severe which made access to the town a bit difficult for senior citizens like us! Our car was small, a Fiat 500, which was a blessing on the narrow windy roads but made some of the hill-work difficult ─ such were the gradients. Very regretfully, that is why this review is only 4 stars. Take 20 years off our ages, and it would have been 5 stars + because there is absolutely nothing wrong with apartment as such. * There was one thing missing ─ a toaster. We mentioned it to Giuseppe... and we had one the next morning!

Die Ferienwohnung liegt etwa 4 Kilometer oberhalb von Stresa und man genießt einen hervorragenden Blick über den Lago Maggiore. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr sauber. Gern kommen wir wieder und empfehlen die Wohnung sehr gern weiter.

Grandioser Blick und tolle Wohnung
Die Wohnung war genauso wie beschrieben und der Ausblick auf den Lago Maggiore war einfach grandios. Jeden Tag gab es ein anderes Bild auf dem See, der Sonnenaufgang ist auch super zu beobachten. Sehr netter Vermieter und einfache Kommunikation. Die Antworten kamen teilweise Minuten später und alles problemlos auch per WhatsApp. Man hat sich gleich willkommen gefühlt und es gab sogar einen sehr leckeren Prosecco als Empfang. Wir haben uns insgesamt sehr wohl gefühlt und können die Wohnung uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.

Traumhafter Aufenthalt
Wir haben einen wunderbaren Urlaub im Appartement von Guiseppe verbracht. Die Wohnung ist sehr geschmackvoll und hochwertig eingerichtet. Ein atemberaubender Blick auf den Lago und eine tolle Terrasse zum Sonnen und Verweilen. Wir konnten auf dem Balkon frühstücken mit dieser wunderschönen Aussicht. Von dort aus kann man jede Menge Wanderungen unternehmen und zwei/drei Lokale zum Abendessen sind fussläufig erreichbar. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Guiseppe ist ein sehr netter, hilfsbereiter und sympathischer Vermieter

Une vue à couper le souffle

2 semaines parfaites avec une vue incroyable !
La résidence est idéalement située sur les hauteurs de Stresa et la vue sur le Lac Majeur est exceptionnel. L’appartement est très propre et tout confort ! Il ne manque rien, et le solarium est aussi un endroit que nous avons fortement apprécié. Dana et Giuseppe, nos hôtes, ont été très accueillants et d’une gentillesse exceptionnelle, toujours à notre service et souriants ! Je recommande !

The appartement was very clean, modern and overall complete. The balcony faces east and there is plenty of sun in the morning but on the end of the day when it's the highest temps you can sit in the shades and enjoy the beautiful view of lake Maggiore.
