It was a welcome change to find good old fashioned friendly personal service where you were shown to your room and told where everything was and how it worked such as the pressure shower. "The Amber House has a very friendly and homely feel to it, I found it a very enjoyable stay and as a solo traveller as my room was a good size and very comfortable.If the weather is nice they have a lovely garden to sit out in and also a ' honesty bar' which has a nice selection in it. I thoroughly recommend you stay here if you're ever in Paignton. "

"Such a lovely little place, the location is perfect pretty much on the waterfront and pier, excellent customer services, Steve was very welcoming and showed us to our room when we arrived even offered to carry our bags although we did insist there was no need, we stayed 2 nights and the beds are comfy, the room was so lovely with all the little details they put in too make the room as lovely as it was and every where was pristinely clean; will definitely stay again 😀 thank you"
