"Excellent hotel, with friendly staff. Well decorated and overall the hotel does have a high end feel to it, with bar area very impressive. Given the cost and standard expected the negatives are, reception area is very modest (not something that bothers me but does not set the scene well for rest of hotel). We were lucky to get an upgrade to superior room which was lovely but not something i could have paid the extra for while also wondering how basic the normal rooms are given the standard of the superior room. Overall its a great hotel and great staff but not sure about the value for money aspect. "

"Check-in staff were lovely despite unfortunately being subject to abuse from several other customers who hadn't read their small print and didn't seem to be aware that photo ID was required at check-in. Please take photo ID with you rather than turn into a screeching harpy at the desk, it's absolutely not necessary and your lack of reading properly is not the staff's fault. The hotel itself is very central, super handy for Piccadilly Gardens if using the tram during your stay and just as handy for arriving on the train at Piccadilly station. The hotel decor is probably a little dated but that doesn't bother me when I'm hoping to spend the majority of my time there sleeping. The hotel was clean, tidy and as a solo female traveller I felt safe throughout my stay. If the price is favourable the next time that I go to Manchester, I wouldn't hesitate to book there again. "

"Great hotel, lovely big rooms with a big bathroom. The towels were also big and not like a face cloth that you get in other hotels! Staff great, really comfortable, great location. Will stay again for sure! "
