Black Bear Lodge @ MiddleCreek

This beautiful House sits just 1 mile outside of Hopeland in the small neighborhood of Clay. It features a Big front yard, as well as a deck with Big Back Yard, 3 bedrooms, 2 Full Bathrooms, a Semi Stocked Kitchen, (Kitchen, Dining, and Living Room) is open area, with a office/den area to the side of Dining area. Bedroom # 1 has attached bathroom with a Whirlpool, and shower. Bath # 2 has Tub with shower, and is also where the washer & dryer is located. . Entire house and grounds is accessible to our guests except for the garage, and basement. An accessible and open floor plan is great for larger groups as well as small!

- Quiet Hours 11pm to 7am

- Eat food only in kitchen area

- No shoes in the house

- No Parties or Events without Prior Approval

- No illegal or Immoral Activities

- Children are welcome but "MUST" be supervised at all times. This not a child proof home. Supervision REQUIRED at ALL TIMES, You will be responsible for all damage and the safety of your children.

- Please Leave House as Found: Dishes Washed and all items put back in their place. Just leave the beds without making them.

- No additional overnight guests without prior approval.

- No pets on the property without prior approval and no pets in the house.
- If Smoking, Must be outside, and butts placed in receptacle on deck.

ACCESS IS BY KEYPAD ON FRONT DOOR. Approximately 1 day before your stay, I will send you the access code, and instructions on how to access the house.

A Great Stay…
My family (8 adults) enjoyed this stay very much. It was roomy and quiet and the outdoor patio was so peaceful. The only thing we didn’t love were the beds… all of them were pretty uncomfortable.

Spring Quilt Trip 2024
Three quilters came for the quilt show and do a little (alot?) shopping. Location was convenient to the show and our favorite shops. Lots of room for us to spread out and play with fabric and patterns. Will definitely keep on the list for future quilt trips.

Owner was very easy to work with, home was well kept and spacious. We only stayed overnight due to wedding but has a nice outdoor deck with seating and plenty of area for kids to enjoy the nice yard.

This property was exactly as advertised! The house was beautiful and immaculate! I always use VRBO when traveling with a group and this was by far the best house yet. I would definitely recommend this property and hope that I will be able to stay there again myself!

Cozy home away from home
We enjoyed the coziness of the home and the kids really enjoyed playing outside on the swingset. It was nice not to have to worry about the neighborhood or having to get stuff to have a fire as it was all provided! Thank you for letting us stay there for the week!

Quiet and cozy!
Highly recommend! House was super clean and homey. No tv in house but was so nice to sit back and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet without the noise of the tv in the background. Will definitely be returning when I come back to the area.

Great place!
The perfect place to wind down after a wedding weekend. The property is extremely clean, updated, and has everything you need. The fenced in back yard and deck are fantastic, especially if you have children. The neighborhood is quiet and quaint and its easy to find. There are no TVs here, but we did not miss them at all. We took advantage of spending quality time together. You wont regret renting this property!

Yearly trip
We come down to PA from CT twice a yr for my son's basketball tournaments. Was very happy with everything about the house and the host. Had small issue with opening the door when we arrived and the Dale responded in 2min. House was clean and perfect for the 6 of us. Thank you very much and if its available in Aug we'll probably stay there again.

Quiet and well centralized location!
We needed an overnight location for a group visiting the local area for tours the next morning. This place was perfect for our needs, since it had us 15 minutes away from the Wolf Sanctuary of Pennsylvania and Brickerville House. Everything was clean, convenient, and well maintained. The only downside would be that couches and beds could use some updating. One couch is very worn, making it uncomfortable for anyone to sit on and the beds varied between painfully firm or marshmallow softness. Can't always get the bed you're most comfortable with, but definitely feel like the vintage couch could be replaced.

Good location and yard.
Beautiful area and nice home. Couple of things to keep in mind - only one ac unit and one fan. Have to keep everything open and still warm. Also kitchen not really set up for cooking. No knives and only paper coffee cups. Master bath has glass doors. And two of the bed are super hard. But lots of space and a good yard. Just a few quirks.
