Deep water Retreat on Dyers Bay/Amazing Sunsets, King bed on request, quiet
Spring of 2022 NEWLY RENOVATED BATHROOM, WINDOWS AND SIDING.
FYI, Long Term Bookings......If booking more than 10 days, the cleaning fee will be adjusted depending on the number of nights. Inquire before booking or the adjustment will be submitted and your card will be charged the difference after booking.
We practice very high standards in regards to cleaning, disinfecting and sanitizing! Sincerely, Wanda (housekeeper) and The Francis Family
Sunsets are amazing! FYI, BAR HARBOR IS APPROXIMATELY AN HOUR DRIVE FROM THE COTTAGE. It is a great day trip and we suggest you drive to Winter Harbor (30 minutes away) and take the Ferry to Bar Harbor and avoid the parking dilemma (downeastwindjammer.com). Awesome 45 minute boat road and bikes are welcome.
A Quiet shoreside cottage nestled amongst the trees on the shore of Dyers Bay. The only traffic you will see is an occasional lobster boat passing by to haul their traps. The deck is the perfect place to watch our beautiful Downest sunsets as well! Also a great spot to eat a fresh Maine Lobster on the picnic table!
The cottage is quaint yet newly updated to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our two bedroom cottage has a queen bed, two twin beds (king upon request prior to arrival) and the living room has a double size pullout couch (couch is best for children). Please advise us in advance if you require bedding for the couch and or would like the king bed vs the twins.
Located just a few miles from hiking trails on Pigeon Hill and Petit Manan Point. You won't be disappointed. Please see our reviews for messages from our previous guests. We strive to provide a comfortable and spotlessly clean "cottage" for your visit to Maine and the most beautiful sunsets over the bay.
The cottage is most comfortable with 4 guests but can accommodate up to 5 if double couch is used....couch is best fit for children.

We had a magical trip and have never felt more at peace. Perfectly, rejuvenating!
We had a wonderful stay! The cottage was cozy and tucked away for privacy. Perfectly our style and offered a central location to venture off into Bar Harbor, Acadia and Milbridge.
We greatly enjoyed this hidden little nook! Was an easy drive to nature hikes and attractions. A perfectly quiet and serene spot to relax, unwind, and escape in the great out doors!
We had an amazing time in this cozy cabin. It was super clean and ready for us when we arrived. The views were spectacular. Wanda and Arnold were wonderful and gave great suggestions for places to eat and things to do in the area.
This was the cleanest place I have ever stayed. Very quiet location. Owner was outstanding. House keeper very informative. Located close enough to go all over Maine. Had a wonderful time.
This property is gem!!! Location is beautiful and sunsets are amazing! Camp Wind was very clean and comfortable. The deck is wonderful for relaxing and watching the lobster boats and wildlife. I would definitely stay at Camp Wind again!
Camp Wind is a great little place for a quick escape, and rain or shine the views can't be beat. Arnold and Wanda were very communicative, and Wanda gave great recommendations for activities and delicious food. Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge and Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula are very close and have great hikes. I'd definitely consider staying here again.
At the end of the road you will find this delightful cottage with the best sunsets! Watch the eagles while enjoying your coffee on the deck overlooking the bay! End the day sipping wine while the lobster boats return and the tide changes! Gracious and welcoming host, cottage super clean.
Great communication from check in until we left. Property is gorgeous. Positive: safety is no issue, if anything goes wrong the owner lives on property and is quick to help, and porch is perfect spot to sit and relax. Best hiking without the crowds is nearby! Not so positive: could really use some updates on the couch and beds. Could use a few throw blankets for the very cold evenings (we r from the south). The heater sounds like a rocket ship taking off in living room. Lol fyi: make sure to make reservations for the ferry and for anything that needs reservations such as Cadillac mtn well in advance. Be aware of things closing up the weekend of “Columbus Day” if u go in the fall.
We feel so lucky to have found Camp Wind during the coronavirus pandemic. Arnold was an excellent host and we can’t thank him enough for welcoming us to this peaceful retreat. The cabin is in a great location if you love the outdoors. We looked forward to the evening sunset from the deck every night and hope to return in the future.
This was mine and my husbands' first trip to Maine and Wanda made us feel right at home. She was always quick to respond and helpful with advise and recommendations.
This little Dyers Bay cottage was such a nice place to come back to after an afternoon of exploring the area. We were blessed with perfect weather and temperatures and the sunsets were beautiful. We missed the sunrises because, being from KY, we never realized that it gets daylight at 4:30am, lol. We wish it was that way in KY :)
Thanks for sharing Camp Wind, this special cottage by the sea.
Camp Wind is a cozy piece of heaven! Totally off the beaten trail. The view at sunset is unbelievable! Watching the lobster boats go out in the morning was a treat!
Did not interact with the property manager but Wanda the housekeeper was very informative and helpful.
Would definitely come back and recommend to others!
Spotlessly clean and quiet cottage with beautiful sunset view from the deck.
Lobster boats, eagles, seal, porpoises, kingfisher, hummingbirds, red squirrel, deer/doe, and rabbit on the cove.
Arnold and Wanda were easy to communicate too.
A lovely quiet spot, super clean, 45 min from Bar Harbor and Acadia. We enjoyed going to BH and Acaidia as well as fishing off the dock, more local hikes, puffin cruise, and lobster rolls. Beautiful deck for meals, wine, and sunsets! You’ll see and hear many birds including bald eagles. Wanda and Arnold are wonderful and provided excellent recommendations! 5 stars!!
Highly recommend this place if you are looking for an ocean front with an amazing view and some seclusion. Watching the lobster boats was definitely a highlight. We saw seals and eagles from the deck. Owners were very friendly and great with communication. Definitely check out Chipmans Wharf nearby for your lobster needs! So great!
Quiet location North of the Hussle and bussle of the touristy Bar Harbor and Acadia. However a short drive to Acadia's Schoodic location. We drove through on our last night, but wish we had spent more time. Several charming small places to eat including roadside food trucks with affordable local fare options. Our view off the back porch was ours and ours alone. Super quiet and peaceful. Great sunsets as well. This was a memorable stay for our family.
