"Five of us stayed very comfortably. We could have easily had twice that many. There was a misunderstanding about towels and such. It was entirely my fault. This was my first experience with a self-service place and I didn’t read the instructions completely. Complicated by a bit of a language barrier. Otherwise, everything was perfect."

"Fantastic house, stunning location. The house was large enough to accommodate 7 adults and 7 children without getting under each others feet. Manfred was excellent at communicating with us, very prompt replies with good advice. Mr and Mrs Hess were absolute stars, they couldn't have more patient with us non-speaking Germans and very charming couple. The house itself is situated within easy driving distance from many places of interest to visit."

"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....

"The house is in an excellent location, quiet and yet close to attractions of the black forest. The landlady was very nice. The kitchen is very well equiped, with all you need for cooking and eating your meals at home. There's also a washing machine, that's very helpful if you're traveling for a long time. "It was a cute place with a lot of character. The check in process wasn’t as easy as we’ve had with other properties. Make sure to get check in info before you arrive. "Wir hatten zu sechst (5 Erwachsene und ein Kleinkind) eine gute Zeit in der Fewo und im Schwarzwald. Die Küche ist super ausgestattet für Selbstversorger. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und ausflugsziele sind mit dem Auto gut erreichbar, dafür ist die direkte Umgebung sehr ruhig und lädt zu aktivitäten im Freien ein. Der check in war bei uns etwas chaotisch, wegen einem Missverständnis zwischen dem Vermieter und der Verwaltung der FeWo was aber schnell behoben werden konnte. Wir kommen sehr gerne mal...

"Terrasse envahie par les mauvaises herbes, 2 des chambres en mezzanine qui donnent sur la cuisine et le salon sans aucune aeration donc irrespirables quand il fait chaud, pas de détecteur de fumée, équipement de base non présent ( passoire, planche à découper...). A noter la proximité immédiate d'une ferme d'élevage et des inconvénients associés. Dommage, car la propriété et ses environs sont très agréables, avec la proximité d'un plan d'eau avec sa petite plage."

"Die Betten (Schrankbett) waren mit insgesamt 1,60 m Breite für ein älteres Ehepaar sehr schmal. Der Wasserkran in der Küche an der Spüle war nicht gut angeschraubt und wackelte sehr stark. Eine Tür am Unterschrank der Spüle war defekt und fiel fast raus. Ansonsten lag die Wohnung sehr zentral und hatte einen großen Balkon."

"Der Weg zum Haus ist super vom Vermieter beschrieben und sehr abenteuerlich. Das Haus steht in absoluter Alleinlage am Waldrand und direkt vor dem Haus beginnen die Weinfelder. Traumhaft schön. Die kleine Auffahrt direkt zum Haus (ca. 50m) ist sehr steil. Vom Parkplatz vor dem Haus geht es ca. 50 Stufen durch den Garten zum Gebäude. Das Außengelände und der Garten könnten etwas mehr liebe vertragen. Oben gibt es eine wunderschöne überdachte Terrasse mit einem großartigen Blick auf Offenburg....

Only two minor points: the pillows are low quality and very thin, and the main ceiling light in our room didn't work, even after I asked reception to check it and replace the light bulb if necessary.
