Walk to the Thunderhead Lift

This property is a three level home , ideally located at the top of Burgess Creek Road and within walking distance to Thunderhead Lift. This home offers the amenities you are searching for on your next trip to Steamboat. The lower level entrance features a tiled floor with benches for boot removal and boot dryers installed for your convenience. A stone fireplace, sectional sofa for viewing the 65 inch tv, built in bunks sleeping 4, game room with pool table, bath and laundry are on this level. Upstairs, the alder wood kitchen includes a 6-burner Wolf range, 2 Convection ovens, 2 dishwashers and stainless refrigerator. A large island with seating for 4 and coffee bar area with beverage cooler complete the space. Open concept design, and the addition of large windows during the renovation, enable you to enjoy the stunning view from the dining area with seating for 12. The game table in the living area provides seating for 4 more. A gas fireplace in this living area creates a cozy, warm atmosphere to relax after a day on the mountain. A half bath, washer/dryer and master suite with king bed are also on this level. The third floor includes four additional bedrooms and bathrooms. A secondary master with king bed, has access to the walk out balcony and private bath. Two additional bedrooms have queen beds and attached baths. The fourth bedroom is close to the hall bathroom featuring a tub/shower and large vanity. Two addition bedrooms with queen beds, a shared bath and coffee bar area are located above the garage. It is easily accessible by a heated walkway. Premium towels and bedding are provided for your use, and are professionally laundered prior to your arrival.
A seven person hot tub is located between the house and garage unit. A heated walkway ensures easy access to the hot tub and garage suite. The parking area is also heated and provides parking for 6 vehicles. The lower level of the garage is accessible for ski storage and parking of 1 additional vehicle.
A deck with valley views and a screened porch offer a quiet place to relax and enjoy the scenery. SPECIAL NOTE: This property does not have air conditioning. Bedrooms have ceiling fans. Box fans are also provided.
This property is not on the public bus route or within walking distance to the base area. We recommend an AWD rental vehicle for your convenience. Taxi and a shuttle service from the airport are available for purchase. Noise ordinances are in effect for the town of Steamboat Springs requiring quiet time after 10 PM We ask our guests to limit noise when using outdoor areas and hot tub. THIS IS NOT A PARTY RENTAL! If you cannot agree to these regulations, please do not rent this property. All regulations will be strictly enforced. Violations will result in removal from the property. Two outdoor cameras are installed to monitor the parking, street, trash pick- up area and the rear property border A noise monitor is located near the hot tub to monitor noise levels. It records decibel levels only, not conversation. A security system on the main house will be disabled during your stay and not operational.

We have been vacationing in Steamboat for the past 35 years. As our family expanded, it became more difficult to rent a property for our annual ski trip. Based on our past experience, our main objective during the renovation was to meet the needs of the vacation renter. The kitchen is well equipped with all the necessities and amenities needed for a large group. Individual living spaces provide separation and flexibility for children and adults. Easy access to Thunderhead lift will enable your group to avoid the crowds at the base area for that first run of the day.

Awesome Vacation
We had an absolute blast on this trip. The house was perfect for what we needed. We have been coming to Steamboat for 20 years and its not the easiest place to find a house that is pretty much ski in out so this was so nice. Beautiful house and great location!!
The house was perfect for our ski vacation. There were 13 of us, 8 adults and 5 children. The kitchen was VERY well appointed! We did a lot of cooking and did not need for anything. We felt very at home in your ski house. The location was perfect for skiing and close to all activities in town. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

We loved everything about the property, it fit the entire family, was close to slope it easy to ski in and get back to the house afterwards, easy to get in town, and the kitchen was by far the best stocked I’ve ever stayed at in a Rental! Great stay in Steamboat
Our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Walk to Thunderhead Lift. The house is very accommodating for a large group with plenty of beds and room to move around. The host thought of everything in this well stocked and extremely organized home! Heated driveway meant no shoveling of snow in the morning. Dual dishwashers and washer/dryers were an extra nice touch too. We were well taken care of by the hosts and would definitely return for another amazing stay!

Large Family Getaway
Great home for family to getaway to. Clean, spacious, well supplied, and very comfortable. A couple of us were in the SBT GRVL bike race and the garage was great for storing bikes. We enjoyed this home.

Ski trip
We came up to ski & ring in the new year. This property is absolutely amazing! It accommodated two families of 5 and we had more than enough room! The house had more than enough linens, etc! The kitchen was amazingly stocked! The location is unbeatable 3 minutes or less walk to the lift. This home is well loved and you can tell, we loved it too! Thank you for the great memories.

Great ski house for large group
We appreciated the layout, furnishings, and location. This is a very nice ski house with comfortable bedding, terfific kitchen and large gathering rooms. Storage of skis in garage was convenient. Walk to Thunderhead Lift was a nice warmup to the ski day. We would go back again!

Our group of 11 had a wonderful time and had plenty of space to spread out. We really enjoyed cooking large family meals in the kitchen. Summer vacation with extended family
We have an annual trip where we, as an extended family, pick a destination and rent through VRBO. We've done this for 16 years now. Our vacation this year was one of the very best. This property has it all. Easily fit our family of 11. We've never seen a kitchen so properly stocked with all the necessary cooking pots/pans/dishware, etc. Great trip!

Perfect multi- family house
Just as advertised. Very clean, organized and well stocked with dishes and appliances for big groups. Lots of sleeping options for adults and kids, the 2 bedroom apartment above the garage was perfect for our teenage sons. Ski/snowboard storage in the garage and boot and glove dryer a bonus as well.

Amazing property!
Carol’s place was so amazing. All our children raved about it and it was perfect for our family of 16, including young grandchildren. Amazing House
This is the third time I've gone to Steamboat Springs to host customers. This property is the best we've had. I commented several times while I was there about how well it was furnished. Perfectly Appointed Home for Large Group
We had a group of 12 who stayed at this perfectly appointed home. It is walking distance to Thunderhead lift, has amazing mountain views from every window (we saw moose in the backyard!), and has separate hang out spaces for kids and adults alike. The owners thought of everything from keyless entry, to tons of hooks, benches and shelves for your ski gear, to boot warmers and cozy fireplaces in the main living areas. The home was beautiful, yet comfortable and the owners and caretaker could no thave been more accomodating!

Excellent Vacation Home for Large Group
Beautiful and clean property with all of the amenities for a large group. Location seemed very private even though there are other properties near by. . Beautiful views and short drive to slopes and to town. Kitchen well stocked with high end cooking supplies. 3 stories plus the garage house worked well for our group of 14. Plenty of common space for gathering but still provided everyone space to spread out. Would stay here again in a heartbeat. Only downside was no Air Conditioning which was fully disclosed. Got a bit hot inside, which was expected in late July, but box fans provided made it tolerable. Really enjoyed the stay.

Family Reunion and Powder Days!
What a wonderful week at your Spruce Blend vacation home in the Boat! 11 of us all together had plenty of room to relax and unite. From gathering around the beautiful kitchen island in the mornings to playing games at the dining table in the evenings, Spruce Blend accomodated all of us to our every need. The location, the views, and the home layout was to be admired. We easily fell in love with it. My cousins family of 6 combined with our own family of 5 to enjoy time together, skiing and relaxing. Amazing home
This home was spectacular. Everything you could ever want/need is provided. We were in Steamboat for a wedding. With all of the wedding preparations, we did not have time to enjoy sitting outside or the hot tub. We are from Ohio and the two bedrooms with kitchenette over the garage was perfect for the grandchildren and their parents who needed to adjust to the time zone change allowing the rest of the family to visit in the evening and sleep in the morning. If we ever get to Steamboat again this is the property I would definitely stay at.

Amazing Stay- Felt like home
We had an amazing stay over Thanksgiving at the property. We had a large family with adults all the way down to a few toddlers. First and foremost was the cleanliness of the property. It was also well appointed for renters all the way down to the chapstick favors. We made a whole Thanksgiving meal and did not want for any kitchen utensil. The house is well thought out and gives great areas for togetherness and to have space. We especially enjoyed the game table for card games and conversation. The location was great and exactly as described. The pictures of the house don’t do it justice, it’s even better in person!

Even better than advertised
This house was perfect for our annual cousins' ski trip. The proximity to Thunderhead chair made it easy to get lots of people to and from the slopes each day. It was tastefully decorated and more than well appointed - there were more towels and linens than I've ever seen in a vacation rental. The kitchen was a chef's dream with everything we needed for our nightly family dinners, and all 12 of us could sit around the dining table. Just inside the lower entrance where boots come off there is a boot dryer/warmer that holds 12 pairs of boots or gloves, a game changer! Carol, the owner, and Joe, the property manager, were very responsive and proactively ensured we had all the information when we needed it. Stay here if you can!

All good! No disappointments! A delightful home for our family reunion!
This was. a wonderful house for our August three generational family reunion. Twelve of us stayed in the house and even with eight others coming from town to dinner, we didn't feel crowded---between the long dinner table and the comfortable adjacent living room we retained the desired togetherness. In addition to excellent appliances (stove, refrig, fancy microwave, and two dishwashers),, the kitchen contained every possible cooking pan, plenty of nice dinnerware, coffee pots, etc to easily handle our crowd. The house is bright, attractive and very clean. We only called the property manager once for a very small matter. The hot tub was deemed "the best ever " by an avid user. All 7 bedrooms were attractive and bathrooms well furnished with towels and supplies to last well beyond our week stay. The soaking tub in the main floor master was great. Because of clear directions, no one got lost on the way to the house (a first in my family) and parking was easy, with a limitation of 6 cars imposed by the town. The deck provides a lovely place for outdoor relaxation and conversation. Carol is an exceptional owner, dealing generously with our covid cancellation in 2020 and potential wildfire smoke cancellation in 2021. Additionally she graciously accommodated a couple special needs requests. It's easy to reach grocery stores and other services, and downtown Steamboat Springs is full of interesting stores and activities. See the Botanical garden, attend a rodeo and farmers market. Two of our group even ran a half marathon. (Try to be there throughout a full weekend to get the benefit of weekend activities in town) We hiked at Fishing creek and near the house, enjoyed the Strawberry Hot Springs, etc, etc, etc. Everything at Spruce Bend was high quality and in good repair. As a vacation house renter for over 20 years, I think this property is one of the best maintained, highest quality I've found. We all recommend it highly! .
