4th of July and general visit
I have been many times to Steamboat however my friend visiting from FL had not so I took her to the Strawberry Springs Hot Springs, we did the 4th of July Bash (with Papa John Gros and a Drone Show) at Steamboat Ski square, went the Botanic Gardens, did the easy hike to the Fish Creek Falls, went out to Steamboat Lake for the easy 1.1 mile Tombstone Trail (great views of Hans Peak and Steamboat Lake) and then the Steamboat gondola ride for the Sunset Happy Hour with live music - had a fun time. My only complaint was AFTER we booked the room we then had to verify ourselves and that was a fricken hastle --- and you have a hell of lotta nerve to take our reservation AND MONEY before that task. :-(

Friends staying for winter wondergrass
My biggest piece of advice would be that the host invest in better mattresses. Both the mattress in the room and the pullout couch were extremely uncomfortable. This was a great property to stay at for skiing and size wise worked well for our group of 4. It was pretty far away from downtown / the location of winter wondergrass, which is fine but information on how to get into town would have been appreciated. We mostly had to rely on taxis as there’s no free shuttle or bus that takes you from this property into town. I asked the host (vacasa) for advice on additional parking before our checkin time so we could be prepared and never heard back which was annoying because we had to figure it out on our own which involved parking another vehicle in town and paying.

Hotter than Hades
The condo itself was very clean and nice with a great pool and hot tub. Don't be like us and assume everything has heat and air conditioning. This unit didn't have air conditioning and it was over 90 degrees in the condo the first day we were there, miserable. It was secluded a bit from the town which made it hard to walk around the area without having to drive into town a mile or so. This place has to be a 10 out of 10 during the Winter and snow season but I'd not do it again during the Summer months.

Our fav place to stay
This was the third time we have stayed at this place. We really enjoy the location and the size is perfect for the two of us. This experience was different as a company has taken it over. The instructions to get in was incorrect so we had to call. We also found the lack of instructions of where to find things such as parking pass and pool key. We were use to finding these items on the table, which has been true for other places we’ve stayed at as well. Calling the company then ended with no one answering. Emailed instead and didn’t get a response until way late in the day. In the meantime we found them and I sent another email saying such. We were also 30 min early after driving 11 hours, stopping to get groceries and driving around town to kill time to be chastised by the company manager for not finding something else to do when we are tired. I know in the past here and other places we’ve stayed it’s just nice to be able to text the owner and get an immediate reply. I feel improvement needs to be made within the company to help communication and to be more welcoming. This experience will not keep us from staying there again and now we understand a little more how this company functions so this will help.

great location if you have a car
easy walk to Thunderhead lift to start your day and avoid the gondola lines at the base to get to the Thunderhead Lodge and start your day. However if you don't have a car (parking pass included with stay) then you have to rely on calling GoAlpine taxi to get around (it's a 2.5 mile walk down to the village to access the free buses around town). This is a beautiful residential neighborhood but far from restaurants, bars, takeout or shopping. Otherwise, well outfitted, clean and comfortable.
