Well-appointed 5-bdrm, 4-bath mountain home sits on 10 acres and features stunning views, stylish renovations, and all-around comfort in an unmatched setting. Located less than 10 miles from Steamboat Springs, CO, and a quick 20-minute drive from Steamboat Ski Resort, this home combines ultimate convenience with a secluded mountain getaway. This gorgeous 4,000-square-foot home - which was extensively updated in 2017 - leaves little to be desired. It features hardwood floors in the main living spaces, towering floor-to-ceiling windows in the great room capturing the surrounding scenery, a spacious dining area, and a showroom kitchen with new stainless appliances and granite countertops. Upstairs, natural light and spectacular views infiltrate the beautifully updated master bedroom and bathroom. Downstairs, there is a separate living space with one bedroom and one bathroom with its own separate entrance that provides an added level of privacy, making this home perfect for multiple families or groups of friends. The home’s other highlights include a great outdoor space with a wraparound deck, a large front porch, a hot tub, and an outdoor fire pit. There is also a 2-car garage available for guest use. This home’s picturesque mountain setting is as equally as impressive as its interior highlights. Nestled on 10 private acres against a mature pine & aspen forest, you will enjoy unobstructed views of the snowcapped Hahn's Peak and Storm Peak and unparalleled serenity.

This home is pet-friendly! We allow a maximum of 2 dogs; the pet fee is $40/day (with a $250 maximum per stay). There is a $300 penalty for not reporting that you are bringing a pet.

Property note: As part of the authentic mountain experience, please be aware that wildlife is abundant in the area. It's not uncommon to spot local critters such as mice. We take all necessary precautions to keep the cabin clean, but the natural surroundings may bring these small visitors closer than you're used to in an urban setting.

Please note, the fireplace is not operational.

Attention winter guests: You will need a 4-wheel drive car. The remoteness of this house can create hazardous driving conditions. The roads are plowed, but it is not an instant process. Same with the long driveway for the house. We have contracted to have it cleared after every storm (4 inches or more), but it takes time for them to get it done (up to 24 hours). Please be prepared.

We loved the location, views and property. The home is more rustic than we anticipated based on the pictures and you could use a few repairs. Otherwise, we had a great stay and really enjoyed our vacation.

Steamboat was a Dream...boat
The best way to relax and wind down after a hard day of skiing is with great views, hot tubbing and a large kitchen. Our group had a great time enjoying the scenery and watching the super bowl after skiing all day.

Location is gorgeous. Recommendation of 4wd for access in the winter is very real! Home is spacious and nice. Some maintenance required for cosmetic issues. Deck railing is broken - use caution with children or pets!

Very scenic!

Beautiful property!
Our stay here was absolutely amazing. The house was well equipped with everything we needed, and the views were stunning. Very easy check in and out process. The yard was not quite as lush as pictures because it had been so dry, so we didn’t spend much time there. However, the deck and fire pit were perfect! We did run out of water in the middle of our stay, and it took a few hours to get that refilled. Not ideal, but we made it through.

The location was perfect and the view cannot be beat! We were a group of 11 and would have been tight had we been the capacity of 14 - with all adults. Company was very responsive to our questions and requests throughout out stay! Only other request is a larger coffee pot :)

Beautiful property
This property has spectacular views. The house was in good condition and any issues were immediately resolved by the property manager. We found the house to be well stocked however there is a refrigerator on the lower level that was locked. Our group struggled with refrigerator space. If the additional refrigerator can't be used, a small one in the garage would be greatly appreciated. Overall it was a great property with amazing views and privacy.

Good and bad.
Nice property but calling it a 5 bedroom is a stretch. The "room" the bunk beds were in was just about the size of the beds. Other bedrooms were good. Good family areas. Lights were missing in many fixtures. Light switches didn't work in kitchen. The step along the length of the front deck rolls under your feet. Hazardous.

The only this is that the windows really need some curtains especially during summer months to help with heat and light. The ned queen downstairs needs replacement. Numbers screens needed repair or overall need on all windows. You were limited on how many you could open and not fear bugs, hornets or there creatures getting in. Otherwise our stay was great!

Disappointing stay

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Very many moths and flies in the house due to windows left open without screens. Many dead flies sitting on window sills throughout the house. Window in master bedroom would not close. Spare sheets in one bedroom upstairs had blood on them. Steps into hot tub had holes in the plastic. Porch wood needed a lot of TLC. Grill was in horrible shape and could not use. Weathering around front and read door was coming off. Windows were filthy. Floor transition strip between kitchen and living room was half missing. Toothbrush found in basement couch. I could keep on going but I think you get the picture. This house should have never been on the rental block. DO NOT RENT THIS HOUSE.

Some good, some bad
First the good: The location of the property is amazing. It's extremely secluded, and not close to anyone. So if you are looking for somewhere to find some peace, this place was great. The supplies that are made available were also extremely helpful. Now the bad: There was trash and cigarette butts all over the backyard. Several of the bathroom sinks wouldn't drain, therefore causing a lovely smell throughout our stay. I never received the email with check in instructions, so I had to wait for the owner to respond, to get in, which wasn't immediate. Lastly, the hot tub kept filling up with foam, which was pretty gross, and made it unenjoyable. Otherwise, I went there to find some peace, and that's what I found.

Positives: remote and quiet locationNegatives: poor cleanliness upon arrival (eg hair in bathrooms, freezer had previous occupants leftovers including breast milk from August), poorly stocked kitchenware for large groups (eg most mugs were chipped, only 6 mismatched wine glasses, few pots/pans), leaking kitchen roof from main bathroom, professional photos definitely overstate space and “luxury” as house is smaller and very rustic. Overall, comfortable rustic house if that’s what you expect and pay for. Not luxury, spacious, well stocked or professionally clean.

Amazing house in an incredible location - is it forsale? (haha)
Only thing I would like to pass on to the owners/property manager is that it would be worth having a pest control agent visit the property as there is an abundance of mice that have taken up residence in the house. Part of my morning routine was either cleaning up the shredded toilet paper in the master bathroom and/or food scraps and wrapper remains in the pantry (I did do a clean out of a few things in the pantry such as chocolate and biscuits as they were on the mission to bulk for winter with this stuff) along with seeing mice regularly running around the house in the morning there is mouse scats everywhere. Not a complaint as we still enjoyed the property but more of an FYI as I would hate to see the property get damaged by these little critters or someone become sick from them climbing over contactable items/food

Outside of Property in Bad Desrepair
We stayed at this place in Steamboat this past summer and although the house was beautiful the property was in disrepair. There was no front porch railing (a makeshift ladder was used instead). There were weeds everywhere as well as a few empty beer cans and several piles of dog feces in front of the house. I wasn't going to complain but can't seem to let this go, it was such a big disappointment. We paid close to $1,000 a night and the condition of the property was not commiserate with what we were charged. Based on what we experienced, you can tell some of the pictures of the outside of the property were photoshopped. I wish I could include pictures of what the outside of the property looked like when we stayed there, it truly was terrible. After the owners collected our money, they wouldn't respond to me.

Relaxing with Gorgeous views
The location was superb and you can’t beat the views. The set up was perfect for an extended family trip with kids and a dog. We had 9 in total with 3 families and all the different bedrooms and layout of the house were perfect for our group. The kitchen set up is a little tight for more than 1 or 2 cooks at once but was well equipped. There is mice activity in the home as evidenced by extensive leavings in the basement nooks. Mice are a part of country living, and there were clear control efforts made to try to control this. Note that we did not actually see a mouse while there. Otherwise cleanliness was not an issue. There were some maintenance items that relate to safety that need attention- i.e. broken stairs that lead to the fire pit but we alerted the property manager to them and they said they would take care of it. Communication with the property manager was excellent- we had a kid with altitude sickness that needed medical attention and reached out to see if they had suggestions. They were fast and helpful. We had fires under the stars, s’mores, walks around the property and were entranced by the resident golden eagles. We would recommend and stay again, assuming the minor safety issues are attended to.
