This condo in The Terraces at Eagle Ridge is a great choice for your Steamboat Springs vacation. It offers a single level, open concept layout, and nice quality furnishings. The development has lots of amenities to enjoy. Perhaps best of all, it offers you a very attractive location, right in the heart of the mountain village, within easy walking distance of Gondola Square. There is a lot to like about this place! With 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and a sleeper sofa in the living room, this condo is ideal for families or groups of 4 to 6 people. The living area is all one big space, so whether you're in the kitchen, dining area, or living room, you can enjoy the company of the other members of your group. The kitchen is fully equipped, you'll have the option to save money by preparing meals at home instead than eating out all the time. Get the day started right with a full breakfast, or make sandwiches for a picnic lunch on the ski area! The beautiful, high quality dining table seats 6 and is round, making it ideal for cards, games, or reminiscing about your day's adventures. The living room furniture is comfy and nicely spaced to take advantage of the fireplace and large HDTV. There's also a patio off the living room, a nice spot for summer guests to relax with a cup of coffee. The master bedroom has a Queen size bed and a private, en suite bathroom. This master bedroom also has an HDTV, dresser, and small closet for storing your luggage and clothes. The second bedroom is set up with 1 Trundle Bunk Bed so a total of 3 Twin beds, making it nicely suited to siblings or singles. Like the master, it also has an HDTV, dresser and closet. The second full bathroom is off the main living space, which really helps if you have a larger group and will be using the sleeper sofa. Some additional features you'll enjoy include a selection of board games, a DVD player, stereo, and of course, free WiFi.
At this development, there are some great amenities to take advantage of. In ski season, this includes a complimentary private shuttle service to get you to and from the Gondola from 7:30 am to 5 pm. Of course you can easily walk to and from the Gondola, but this service might be nice for some groups. The year round free city bus picks up and drops off only about 150 meters from the building.The private shuttle in winter will pick you up right outside your door, and take you directly to the Gondola Transit Center. You don't need a car here in ski season! The free city bus can take you anywhere in town, including the grocery stores, downtown, to the ice rink, or the Old Town Hot Springs. If you're headed out of town for some snowmobiling, to a ranch for a sunset or sleigh ride dinner, or to the Strawberry Park Hot Springs, there are separate shuttles for those activities too.
The pool and hot tub area are right outside the building, and also right next to Burgess Creek. With mature landscaping and the creek, this is a very relaxing place to hang out. The pool is heated, so it and the hot tub are both open in winter and summer seasons. Seasonal closures for cleaning and maintenance tend to occur in spring and fall, so if you're visiting during these times, check with us on the status. There is also a very large fitness center for your use. It has an HDTV, lots of machines, and free weights too, so if you're not a skier, hiker, etc, you'll still be able to get in a workout, do some physical therapy, or have plenty of space for yoga. The building also has a picnic area next to the pool, with a charcoal grill for summer season guests to use, and ski lockers for winter season guests.
Let's not forget to discuss the location. The building is very close to Gondola Square, which is the center of Steamboat's mountain village, and a hub of activity. Within 100 to 150 meters of this building, you will find groceries, spirits, ski & snowboard rentals, multiple dining options, even a Bavarian style beer hall. Gondola Square itself is only about 250 yards from the condo, a short, easy, and flat walk that even young kids will be able to handle. Gondola Square is where you will find the ski school, ticket office, shops, restaurants, and so much more. This area is host to lots of free concerts and other special events, such as weekly fireworks displays in ski season, the Cowboy Downhill, the Cardboard Classic, Splashdown Pond Skim, the list goes on. The heated promenade around the base area allows for easy walking and strolling year round, and night skiing really livens up the base area at night. Ski season guests will love the proximity to the slopes and lifts, but summer guests will love it just as much or more. Ski trails turn into hiking and biking trails. The ski area base transforms into a kid friendly zone full of activities, including mini golf, rock climbing, bungee trampolines, a bouncy house, adventure courses, tubing and of course, The Outlaw mountain coaster. The snow melting high above on the ski area flows right through the base area in Burgess Creek. The flow is controlled and kept to a low volume that attracts kids to splash and play in safety. There are even a couple of beach areas to enjoy. So as you can see, this condo's location gives you direct access to a plethora of entertainment, activity, and dining that you'll surely enjoy. But Gondola Square is not the only reason this location is so great. As you can see in the photos, Burgess Creek also flows right past this building, and the Burgess Creek Trail, a paved path ideal for walking, strolling, jogging or biking, connects to the Mount Werner Trail and the Yampa River Core Trail. This gives you "right out the door" direct access to the Yampa River and Downtown Steamboat, which is less than 4 miles away. The creek also provides a very appealing ambiance for when you are taking advantage of the development's pool, hot tub, or picnic area.
Please note, though the building has an underground parking garage, all of the underground parking spots are assigned, and this unit does not have an underground parking spot. Fortunately, you don't really need a car when you stay here, since the location is so close to the everything, and you have easy access to the free city bus, and a free private ski season shuttle that goes to and from the Gondola from 7:30 am to 5 pm. Also, if you do plan to have a car, there is an outdoor parking area just outside of this unit. ** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. The agreement requires a guest to confirm the group size and subsequently, to disclose any changes to the planned group size, which may result in an increase, or decrease, to the total cost, and may result in a security deposit becoming required.
** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. Cameras are present to ensure the property remains secure and safe, as well as to ensure that guests are honest and upfront about their planned use of the property. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. ** Cleaning Fees & Lengthy Rental Periods - The standard cleaning fee quoted as part of any booking is for the final cleaning, which is to be performed after the rental period has ended. For guests who are booking a lengthy stay of more than one week, a mid stay-cleaning fee equal to the final cleaning fee may apply for the second week, third week, and so on.
