We happened to do both and the fishing was very good, especially when we canoe floated from the end of the Lewistown Narrows to Mifflintown (approx. 4 miles). I would not Consider this property as “having all the amenities of home”’as there is no WiFi, couch or tv” but it’s the perfect place for. “Camping” style trip as the mattresses are very thin. There are No places deliver food to this location so make sure to bring everything you need as the closest store is about 25 minutes away. Also a little further of a drive to PSU as we realized. "Our stay was awesome. It was a little warm upstairs. Luckily we didn't need the bedroom on the 3rd floor as it would have been quite warm. The shower downstairs was quite small. One of our relatives is "football" large and he didn't think he would fit in it. But all in all it was a great stay!!! Thanks. We will keep it in mind to rent again if we have a large group going!!! "The house is tucked away in an extraordinary setting on Brush Mountain and is an extraordinary space. The exterior features a cascading stream, valley-wide views, and a huge partially covered porch perfect for outdoor remote work or relaxation. The interior has soaring ceilings, wide plank floors, and lovely lighting and other touches throughout. Eric was a great and highly attentive host. Nothing fancy, but it was clean and comfortable and the huge dining room table, deck, and firepit were perfect for our group. "Dawn the host is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!! very quick response when i had a question. the only issue i had was the bathroom. it needs some attention. stopper in sink doesn't work. tub and shower need work. handle came off in my hand when turning shower on. there is tape around tub to seal the unit to shower and is coming off. "My friend and our adult children stayed for the weekend for the Luke Combs concert and it worked out perfect. We had enough space for all of us, the place was very clean. The breakfast items were greatly appreciated and although we didn't need anything, there were even commonly missed items in the bathroom--toothbrushes, floss, etc. Would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose."

"We stayed here for the Penn State vs Michigan game. It was 4 of us so sleeping arrangements were perfect. Great communication with the owner as we had a little trouble with figuring out WiFi and the tv. Lower level definitely chilly but my husband loved it. House was clean and in a great location."
