"Great location for innumerable hikes and all kinds of biking. Amazing food, simple but spacious room. No toiletries except for a bar soap. Bathroom tiny but sufficient. A kettle to make coffee/tea would be nice. If driving, go via Hinterhelmsdorf and do not follow google maps as those lead through almost impassable backroads. "

"Wunderschöne und sehr gut ausgestattete Ferienwohnung Wir hatten Ferienwohnung 04 im Erdgeschoss. Sie war super modern und liebevoll eingerichtet, mit allem was man braucht. Wir hätten sogar kostenlos Wäsche im Waschraum waschen können. Vor allem war alles sehr sauber. Parkplätze sind für jedes Apartment einer vorhanden. Kommen definitiv wieder "

"Pension ist sehr ruhig gelegen und ein gter Ausgangspunkt für viele Wanderungen. Sehr gute Parkmöglichkeiten durch eigenen kostenlosen Parkplatz. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich . An den knarzenden Holzboden muss man sich gewöhnen und leider muss man das Wasser lang laufen lassen, bis es warm wird. "

"Location Location Location! Crowning a mountain in stunning wilderness, surrounded by walking paths, quaint villages and ancient castles and churches, it's a beautiful place. Welcomed by the owner, Torsten, who grew up here and whose family ran it before him. As a solo traveller, he went out of his way to make me welcome, even walking down into a local village with me for dinner one night. If you want German culture, landscape, food and hospitality, stay here."

"The entire experience was fantastic and We highly recommend this hotel. The owner was very friendly and helpful, she even gave us an emergency number to reach her if we needed it. The dinner was one of the most delicious we have eaten in a hotel. In addition, there are numerous hiking paths leading from the hotel as well as different options, bus, train, or hiking, for traveling to nearby Oybin. "

"Sechs Tage Urlaub zu viert im Zittauer Gebirge und wir hatten uns ein tolles Ferienhaus gesucht und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Ruhige Lage, tolle Parkmöglichkeiten für beide Autos, super ausgestattete Küche. Wir konnten uns beim abendlichen Kochen austoben und in den bequemen Betten erholsamen Schlaf finden. Kleine Abstriche hatten die Bäder. Wir hatten extra nach zwei Bädern gesucht, leider hat das untere Bad ein Mini Waschbecken, dass weder waschen noch Zähne putzen ohne großes Wasserbad...

"Wir waren 3 Tage hier und haben uns von Beginn an wohlgefühlt, durften in einem wunderschönen Appartement wohnen mit allem Komfort. Frank und Patrice sind exzellente Gastgeber, immer zu einem Gespräch bereit und geben viele Tips für Unternehmungen, Geographie, Geschichte der Gegend. "We loved everything about this property! Our apartment was spacious and the kitchen had practically everything we needed. The surroundings were beautiful. We were able to walk to a train station and a ferry to cross the river into Schmilka, which was absolutely adorable by the way! Some of the best hiking we have ever done was in the mountains behind the town! We would definitely stay here again! Ansgar, the caretaker, was attentive and lovely! Thank you for everything!"

"Dear Sir/Madam The guests couldn't check in due to some problem of the connection between the hotel and the system of Hotels.com. We paid the booking in full at the moment of the booking, but the guests couldn't use it and to receive accommodation. By chance we found another accommodation Now we insist that Hotels.com refund us immediately and in full the amount of 752,22 EUR which I paid for the booking! "Wir sind planmäßig angereist und mussten feststellen, dass das Objekt bereits vermietet ist. Der Vermieter war nicht erreichbar. Seine Eltern bedauerten das sehr, konnten uns aber nicht weiter helfen. Die Buchung wäre nicht eingegangen. Wir hatten aber die Bestätigung über Fe-Wo direkt bekommen und das Quartier bereits bezahlt. Es wurde uns keine Alternative Unterbringung angeboten oder organisiert. So waren wir abends mit 4 Kindern ohne Quartier. Am nächsten Tag wurde auf unser Nachhaken, die...

Excellent-with some remarks

"Everything was fine. Excellent and friendly service Two suggestions to the manager: 1. This category of hotel usually offers tea/coffee facilities in the room- keep this standard 2.The bed was quite uncomfortable- two single mattresses of poor quality . On a king or queen bed- put a matching mattress not two put together "

"This hotel is NOT a smoke-free property! The Hotel Evabrunnern is terrible. It does NOT have air conditioning. Our room was on the third floor and we had to keep window open to try to keep the room livable, but people were smoking outside on the roof top. I complained, and we changed to a smaller room with courtyard access saying "usually people don't smoke there." Within minutes of entering the room, people were talking loudly outside (23:00 hours) and then an older German woman, who didn't speak any English, decided to smoke right next to our window. I went to complain again, but the receptionist said they can't change our room and smokers are allow to be in a courtyard. All night we didn't have good rest, sleeping in hot room with smoke. The next morning at 07:00 another German woman decided to smoke in the courtyard outside our window. Open window meant BIG BUGS in the room! The hotel needs serious renovation; it is run down with old furniture and carpet, and dirty tiles in the shower. No drinking water or a kettle is provided in the room. The towels were HORRIBLE! They felt like they were made of sandpaper. The breakfast area was very crowed, have to constantly ask for hot water to make tea. The juice and other food ran pout quickly and replenishment took some time. The two servers were doing a poor job, and there was only one SLOW coffee maker for 20 people. It was constantly running out of water and milk. The food was very limited, and there were no pastries!"
