"Stayed at the cottage with family, the cottage is gorgeous, absolutely clean to the core and the hosts are so lovely making the whole stay such a heart warming experience. "First impreasions are good, a nice welcome touch of bread, cheese, milk and some homemade chocolates. Which after an 8 hour on the road day from Skye was welcome. The cottage is warm, comfortable and you need for nothing, all kitchen items are clean and plentiful. The sofa is comfortable and there is a nice information pack detailing the surrounding area. "We try and come to Otterburn once a year as we love the area. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with tableware amd cutlery. The veds were comfy abd the hot tub was amazing. The only thing that frustrated us was the induction hob, we have never used one before so took a lot of getting used to despite reading the instructions several times.will definitely be returning and will have hopefully mastered the use of an induction hob by then!"

"On top of a large hill, I think the cottage was originally for the staff who worked the farm that lies a little farther down the hill. The cottage is beautifully restored, comfortable, and has stunning views. Hexham is a wonderful town just a short drive away. We had no vehicle and used local taxis, which were easy to get. A convenient bus in Hexham took us to Roman forts and Hadrian’s wall. The hosts were very helpful."

"I booked last minute for a cycle event in the area, the directions were easy to follow, if you screenshot them as advised, phone signal is poor to non existent (bliss) The Meadow View Hut is clean cozy and well appointed, the fire burns very warm so one of the provided logs at a time. If you can’t be bothered with the hassle of the fire, the heating is plenty on its own. Falstone is a great staging post for Kielder Forest, and there’s plenty of adventurous things to do near by, endless walks...
