The home, location, and amenities are nice. Nice view from the deck and hot tub area. The fire is nice in the winter and the home has a cozy feel. The memory foam beds are also nice. The wifi is pretty spotty so if you have teenagers, be prepared! This is a nice part of Virginia!
The cabin was very clean and perfect!! Great views and a lot of space for a large family. The owners were wonderful and very responsive. I would definitely recommend staying here.
We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin. The game room, hot tub and fire pit made our stay. Great lay out with plenty of room for everyone. Contact with the host was quick and helpful. Highly recommend!!
Cozy log home with space for all 10 members of the family. Needs some updating. Hot tub was dirty and unusable. Front porch light, dishwasher and main deck access door broken.
We reserved the property for a two day reunion and it was perfect. Everyone had plenty of room and there were several place to hang out. We really enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening and then relaxing by the fire pit. The hosts are very responsive and made sure we were settled in safely. Everything was as advertised and I Wwould definitely stay here again.
We rented Sam and Savannah's beautiful log cabin to celebrate my husband's birthday. The cabin is clean, well appointed, and has breathtaking views from its decks. We had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. Sam and Savannah were very communicative throughout the process and ensured we had a lovely weekend. Highly recommend!
We loved the space in this house. The wrap around porch was excellent. The game room and hot tub were a bonus. The host was very quick to respond to all my questions
Beautiful Cabin and very well maintained! Host was very gracious to have almost everything which you can think of for a relaxing vacation. We stayed for 2 nights with our extended family and there was something for all age groups to enjoy! Surroundings are peaceful!
We look forward to booking again in near future...
Thanks!
This property was perfect, everything in good order, house was beautiful, lots to do, nice fire pit for weiners or s'mores, my family enjoyed the hot tub and game room,
Lots of extra necessities. We will be back!
Owner was a pleasure to work with
This cabin was fantastic.
The location was semi-isolated. It's surrounded by trees with a big lawn - we saw deer, groundhog, turtle, and rabbit in just a weekend. But it's 15 minutes from small towns with grocery stores and some restaurants.
The house itself was well taken care of and in great condition. All the appliances worked. Towels and linens were provided, but bring your own bathroom supplies.
Communication with the hosts was very easy and check-in and -out was very simple. I really appreciated the owners not having a long list of check out requirements.
My family and another (5 kids ages 8-15) were on our way to the Outer Banks and decided to spend 4 nights in the countryside before we hit the beach for a week. We had a great stay! It was very clean and Sam, the owner, was great to work with and extremely helpful and responsive with his communication. There's some cool stuff to do in the surrounding towns and Luray is great! The caverns were very cool and the kids had a blast in the garden maze and ropes adventure course. There's some great hiking nearby in Shenandoah National Park; we did the Little Stony Man Loop via Appalachian Trail which was excellent! Overall, great trip and would definitely stay here again next time we're in the area!
The cabin looks very new and was spotless. We used the hottub a lot and it had great mountain views. We also used the fire pit quite a bit. Bring wood if you can. We spent about $150 on firewood from local stores. We also used tge pool table every night. Great game room! There is a raptor center across the street. You need to make reservations to visit it about 4 months in advance but it looks like it would be worth the visit. Will definitely be back.
My husband and I were looking for a quiet cabin in the mountains to host a private wedding with close friends and family. This could have been the exact one from our dreams. Hidden among luscious trees, with generous space inside, fabulous wrap around deck with a comfortable hot tub and cozy fire pit, every feature was simply perfect in this little slice of paradise. Our parents really enjoyed the rocking chairs overlooking the mountains. The young children obsessed over the basement gameroom featuring foosball, airhockey, and even a classic arcade style pac-man console. The only drawback was the challenge of parking spaces and having enough room to allow the caterer through to the house along the gravel uphill driveway. But the homeowner was extremely accommodating, and we cannot recommend this place enough as the perfect mountain getaway. And it is just a short 15 minute drive to Luray and Shanendoah National Park with all the exploration and adventure to fill a holiday weekend. It was the perfect dreamy mountain wedding, and only wish we had more time to spend there.
