Pet friendly Cottage with fenced yard!

For those looking for a more private setting this property is perfect for a couple or small family. This cute classic 'naval' cottage, constructed for naval airmen stationed on the island during the second world war, is charming from the front yard to the original hardwood floors awaiting your steps inside.
Two cozy, quiet bedrooms perfect for a sound island's sleep, and two distinct living areas for those preferring to staying up. These areas include a main living room, comfortably furnished, splashing oceanic colors and island styles, and an additional living area with 2 recliners, large desk area and an additional TV. The perfect vacation 'workspace'
So, if you have to work while staying on the Island, you have an office space separate from others.

The master is comfortably furnished with a plush queen bed. The guest room has two newer twin beds. The bath has been totally updated with all tile and beaded board, and ample storage for all your bath linens and toiletries.

The large deck, overlooking the enormous, fenced-in backyard, provides a great spot for outdoor dining, enjoying morning coffee or lounging around with afternoon cocktails. Your furry pets will love the ability to run free! A charcoal grill is provided.
The quaint kitchen has dishwasher plus all the basic necessities. Gas Stove. Many upgrades in 2021. The eat-in dining nook provides comfortable seating for 4-6 with built in bench seats.

This is an ideal cottage for pets small and large.

Laundry room with full washer/dryer is located off the deck. All that is missing is the ocean. There is beach within a mile which is tide contingent meaning no beach at high tide. The better beaches are within 2 miles so you probably want to drive or take bikes. There are county restrictions about dogs on the beach so you want to be familiar with these. No dogs not on a leash between Memorial day and Labor Day.

As the owner I do my best to ensure home is comfortable and inviting. You will find a supply of many basic items such as soap, TP, paper towels, dish detergent and laundry detergent. You will have enough coffee for at least the first few nights. I live locally and am in the home before every guest.

Please note that all TV's are smart TV's so you have access to all your streaming services. I have Hulu Live set up to provide you with "live" TV. I do not provide traditional cable services.

Awesome cottage
The cottage was comfortable, quiet and a great place to call home base during our vacation on St. Simon’s Island. The kitchen had plenty of utensils and accessories to do our cooking and meal prep.

This house is wonderfully decorated and oh so comfortable. We felt very much at home, sofas, beds, chairs all comfortable, the tasteful art complemented the furnishings. The kitchen is well equipped. Our dogs enjoyed the fenced yard and we loved the location of the cottage which is in a very nice neighborhood to walk and close to the pier village. The host has done a great job of anticipating your needs.

Cute pet friendly cottage in a great location
We enjoyed our stay at the cottage. It's nicely decorated and is exactly as shown on pictures. The fenced in backyard is a big bonus if you come with a pet, our dog loved exploring it. The location is very convenient, walk to the village and pier! We drove to the beach which is only few minutes with ample parking. The cottage is also within easy access to the main SSI road, so quick trips to sites like the Fort or Jekyll island are very easy to take.

Great little place on St. Simons Island
Mellette’s home was perfect for our visit to St. Simons. We had stayed in that neighborhood before, so we knew it was friendly and convenient to the rest of the island. The house was extremely clean, well-furnished, well-equipped and very comfortable. The back yard was great for our dogs, the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking and we could walk to Pier Village and everything it has to offer in less than 20 minutes. We will definitely keep this place on the list for our next visit to the area.

Great vacation!
Mellette's place was absolutely perfect! Immediately upon entering the home, we were ready to move in. I loved the location. It was close to restaurants and the beach, so it was easy to get out and adventure. And, it's nestled back in a neighborhood that was quiet and relaxing. Our dogs LOVED the backyard, and we also enjoyed sitting on the patio. We would love to stay there again!

I had to cut my stay here short unfortunately due to a personal matter back home but Mellette was compassionate, accommodating and understanding of my change in plans. The time I did spend at this wonderful home was restful, relaxing and comfortable. Mellette goes above and beyond in welcoming her home and provides many welcoming touches to enhance the experience. This house is a perfect gem. The fully fenced and very private back yard is excellent for those traveling with dogs. The location is very quiet with very friendly neighbors. There are a few other rentals on the street but most neighbors are local residents. Comfortable queen bedroom with good lighting, plenty of storage. Separate office was very convenient for working and staying away from noise. Kitchen is better stocked than most houses I've stayed in - even good knives and glass storage containers! House is close to grocery shopping and not far from the beach. Overall a great stay!
