We were hoping for a nice balcony with a view of the ocean. If we stood in just the right spot, we could just see the ocean between buildings at the back. The A/C was greatly appreciated but really caused excessive humidity in the room. We also didn't realize that the pool was across the road. Nice restaurants within walking distance.

The accommodation is away from the main road and offers a quiet location. The pool and spa facilities are located a short distance from the accommodation but within easy reach. My studio rooms were a little tired but clean and comfortable with hot water. In room TV facilities could do with being modernised to enable access to internet and portable entertainment

Always enjoy our stay at Sunny Coast. Good location, large rooms, friendly staff and easy access to transit. Only complaint, more outdoor lighting is needed. Very dark walking into the hotel area.

Lovely big apartment
Fabulous big apartment. Booked a studio and was given a really large 1 bedroom apartment with a sea view. Staff were extremely helpful and very polite. Apartment was very clean and comfortable with everything you could need. Could do with a bit of a refurb as the bathroom and kitchen are a little dated. All in all very good value for money.

Receiption was appointed with a cheerful staff member. we checked in few hours after the normal checkin. The hotel was peacful and room were nice and clean. Only issue I found was that the telephone didn't work and could have been nicer to have lounge slippers and Water bottle.

Our room had 100s of ants on the floor we switched rooms to a smaller room with out. Hotel still charged us the same amount, and this room didn’t have AC and only 2 single beds. We are on our honey moon and found this to be an absolute nightmare hotel and will never return. For the price point there is at least 10 hotels in the area that are way nicer and better value

The hotel is a very good value for what you pay. It is in a nice location with beautiful views overlooking the bay. We did not use the pool while there but looked very nice. The room itself was very big. The only complain I have is the room is a bit outdated. Everything looks like from the '90s. the towels are a bit thin and they don't give you enough soap/shampoo (although I'm sure you can ask for more at reception). The location is good - it is a 25 minute Uber ride to center of Valetta, about 20 eur. Overall - very good hotel but could use some updating.

Everything I needed for a comfotable stay.
I loved the AX Sunny coast. My apartment had everything I needed. A comfortable bed, plenty of storage and ample kitchen utensils to prepare breakfast and the simple kind of evening meal I like to prepare when I away. The bath was a little small but there was plenty of really hot water. The apartment was serviced every three days with clean sheets and towels each time. Teatowel, cloth, scourer and washing up liquid all provided in the kitchen area. There was plenty of good lighting as well. I received a very warm welcome on arrival by Mahesh on reception who also willingly helped me sort a couple of issues during my stay. Buses leave from outside the hotel to various places although it took me a couple of days to work out how to get back as mostof the buses do not return via the hotel.

Ive stayed at sunny coast regularly over the last 35 years. Although they've up made the reception look nice and modern the rooms dont reflect this and havent been updated in around 20 years at least - with furniture, tiles and utensils either worn out or broken. The cleaning of the rooms has also lessened over time. It seems each year I have stayed there has been something else changed for the worse. On the plus side the rooms are large and do have most things you need and the swimming pool is easily accessible. Some of the issues we had to raise - dirty sheets, broken wardrobe and no latch on the doors to the balcony were rectified within 24 hours.

There are many construction projects nearby, and you will be woken up in the morning. The sound insulation is poor, I was woken up in the middle of the night by the crying screaming kid quite often. Also there was something wrong with the door of balcony, if you are very sensitive with noise and you probably can't sleep in the living room sofa bed, even we shut the door probably but still can hear people talking downstair and the wind blowing like a horrible movie at least 3 nights. Otherwise, everything is ok.
