This lovely accommodation in desirable Upper Carolina has been completely rebuilt since the 2017 hurricanes and is truly spacious. The currently available one-bedroom accommodation offers nearly 1500 sq. ft. of living space, all on one level. Occupying the middle floor of a breezy, verandah-style, two-storey house, this accommodation will give you plenty of room to relax and recharge. Comfortable en suite bedroom/bathroom with four-poster, Queen-sized teak bed with hotel-grade, pillow-top mattress and 100% cotton linens. Direct access to the wrap-around verandah from the bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. Comfortable TV/living room. Large, eat-in kitchen with all new cabinets, countertops and appliances with entertaining-size dining space. The verandah, with beautiful valley and water views, is the signature feature of this accommodation. It's perfect for coffee and tea in the morning, reading and relaxing in the sun during the day, as well as drinks and dining in the evening.

Wonderful stay
We had a great time at Aqua Villa! Chris, the owner, as well as the property managers, were responsive and helpful. The place itself had everything we wanted for our vacation: a beautiful view, a well-equipped kitchen for preparing meals, plenty of beach accessories for enjoying the sand, and of course, lovable Fiona, the furry feline concierge.

Aqua Villa—
Beautifully decorated…as soon as you walk into the airy, sunlit space, your whole being says “Ahhhh,” and relaxes. Great location, and the hosts are very helpful with tips on where to go and what to do. On the deck, you’re surrounded by trees and birdsongs, with a lovely view of the water. Sooooo nice!

Enjoyed the beautiful beaches and snorkeling near the house and a few of the restaurants. Kitchen was well stocked so it was easy to cook at the house and enjoy sunrise and sunsets on the big deck. The owner is very friendly and the house Managers JP and Sarah are very hospitable!

Beautiful view and so relaxing
We came for our anniversary and fell in love with St John! It took us a bit to find the house, but I called Chris and he walked us through the turns. The view was amazing and listening to the birds and frogs was peaceful. The ride to Cruz Bay wasn’t bad and by the end of the week we basically knew our way around. Thank you google maps! Thank you Chris for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Beautiful home with an even more beautiful view! Even better than the pictures. We stayed here for the first half of our honeymoon. The property manager Sarah was very helpful in giving us recommendations on the best places to go on the island making our trip that much better. Great way to start our vacation! Definitely recommend!

4 Excellent Days Above Coral Bay
Great spot overlooking Coral Bay. Beautifully appointed - you go for the veranda and stay for the interior woodwork. Christopher was extremely helpful when we had difficulty locating the house in the dark, which was the only hiccup in the whole trip. We had an extremely aggressive plan of hiking, snorkling, sailing, etc at all hours, and ended up cutting some of it just to enjoy the great views and peace of the house. Highly recommended

Beautiful
Aqua Villa is gorgeous! It has a feeling of home but my home is certainly not as nice! I loved the evenings, listening to the night music of the insects buzzing and the beautiful landscape lighting. It was magical. Some may want to stay out at the bars but why, when you can come home to amazing views of Coral Bay and have a cocktail on the deck overlooking the bay and houses dotting the hillsides!

I was in a bit of a state upon arrival. Don't recommend night arrival after a long day of travel. Probably poor planning on our part. Sarah greeted us and gave many recommendations. Very well decorated and equipped VRBO. Loved coffee on the porches/decks, beautiful sites and sounds. Sarah and JP were helpful, friendly and respectful of our privacy.

Excellent Property- Great Views of Coral Bay
We travel often using VRBO, and I will say this was by far our favorite. The house is well appointed with top of the line amenities to include all the comforts of home. Aqua Villa is perched in Upper Carolina overlooking Coral Bay, and the trade winds blowing through the house lulled us to sleep at night. The kitchen has all appliances to cook with, and a grill is just outside our door. We planned on cooking, stocked up at the market in Cruz Bay...but the food in St. John was so amazing that we spent the week exploring a different restaurant each night. Our favorite was Sweet Plantains. We just can't say enough good things about Chris the owner who took great care in making sure our experience was great, and the on-site host Sarah who is very friendly and gave us some great ideas on different beaches to visit and activities to do while on the island. We miss it already, and plan on coming back. Thanks again for a great vacation!

Everything was wonderful ….it was as pictured & described and then some. We enjoyed the covered deck for morning coffee and for evening relaxing. I loved the openness with windows and doors. The ceiling fans were a plus. The door off bathroom to deck was a plus as well as outdoor shower. We felt right at home after being greeted by Sara and she was available to help us when needed. The owners were prompt to help me with an issue I had. The property was central to the beaches we love visiting. It was hard to walk out the door. Hoping to be there again next year.

Enjoyable stay
We really enjoyed our stay in St John. … the house was really nice and well equipped .. we especially enjoyed all the beach items, chairs, umbrella, cooler. There are plenty of windows doe a nice breeze and lovely chairs and recliners on the balcony to enjoy the view. The window designs are excellent as they allow for closing to sleep in and open to allow for the breezes. It was very clean and they provided helpful items like paper towels and cling wrap. Good location for daily trips to the beaches. Excellent communication with the owner who wanted to make sure we had a great time.

Heavenly retreat, comfortable & central to great snorkeling beaches
My son and I loved the great views and ocean breezes on the veranda and from the windows of this beautifully furnished and decorated spacious 5-room place. The modern kitchen made it easy to prep meals that we enjoyed on veranda or indoors, and to relax in this comfortable place. It's centrally-located relative to many of the northern beaches that are great for snorkeling or for hiking to a peaceful beach. The level, off-the street parking spot is also a plus. Christopher the owner was a delightful host, and the house manager was very helpful and went out of her way when we need some assistance. They provide bottled water that is for drinking, as the house water is fine for showering and kitchen activities, but not for drinking. Many creature comforts are also provided, including internet, bluetooth speakers, smart TVs, various card games, and beautiful cieling fans. The view from veranda among the trees with the ocean breeze, and the night sounds of the tree frogs and birds under bright starts are the memorable things we enjoyed while relaxing in this retreat.

Perfect!
It was my wife & my first time visiting St. John. We spent a wk in February. There is great combo of beautiful hikes and many spectacular crystal clear beaches. Great snorkeling. Stunning views. We loved it! Aqua Villa was a perfect place to stay. It captures the island vibe. Its very well designed, beautifully appointed and left us wanting for nothing! It’s very well equipped if you eat in. Or if prefer to eat out, there are great options in Coral Bay, a short drive away. The wrap around veranda has gorgeous views of the bay. We had all breakfasts there. The trade wind breeze with shutters open and ceiling fan made sleep wonderful. Chris is a perfect host. Sarah suggested what became our favorite beach. We loved our stay and will be back!

The perfect getaway!
My husband and I were lucky enough to spend 4 nights here. The hospitality started even before we arrived to help us with accommodating. Great host, very helpful. Sarah was the lady staying in the apartment below and taking care of the building. She was very friendly and helpful also. The location of the house was fantastic. You can see it from a viewing point that looks out onto Corral bay and the valley… that means… you get the same views from the wonderful wrap-around terrace…including SUNRISE! In terms of location, this house gave us very easy access to lots beaches starting with Maho bay. Cruz bay was only about 30 minutes away but we found it a pleasure to drive those roads. Even at night since the main street is lit. The house itself was very clean and had been newly renovated. It had all the amenities you can think of, and then some… such as USB plug points. The decor was very thoughtful and unique. What a gem! Highly recommend staying here… we’d love to come back that’s for sure. Thank you for hosting, V&S

LOVE THIS PROPERTY
A beautiful place to wake up. The breeze and views are lovely. We cooked 3 out of 5 dinners during our stay enjoying a real kitchen with everything we needed for a lovely meal in a gorgeous setting. The two markets nearby are surprisingly stocked. We used the beach chairs provided and the outside shower. Parking was also super easy. This property is very comfortable, quite stylish - and offers everything we looked for (and more) in a VRBO. Booking flexibility was appreciated

Amazing stay on St. John!
Property is fantastic. Beautiful view of Coral Bay from the deck where you can sit outside and eat, read, etc. Unit is centrally located and easily accessible to get to all areas of the island. If you are looking for a peaceful and more remote place to stay then this is your place. You can easily access all the beaches and hiking trails with short drives. The hosts Sarah and John-Paul were very nice and Chris, the owner is very responsive and helpful. Thanks for helping make our trip memorable!

A Perfect Retreat!
This is a beautiful property with an amazing view of Coral Bay. The inside is spotless and well-appointed. The location was perfect for us as we could drive to a restaurant in Coral Bay in about 5 minutes, reach all of the beaches on the north side with in 10-15 minutes, and hike the Reef Bay Trail or Ram Head after a 10-20 minute drive. This location is about 20-25 minutes from Cruz Bay, which was perfect for us, as we didn't want the hustle and bustle of the "big city" on St. John. This isn't the place to rock and roll all night and party every day. This location suits those who want to experience wildlife all around you and enjoy quiet, breezy evenings after a day of hiking, snorkeling, or playing at one of the many awesome beaches. This was our babymoon, and by staying here, we found exactly what we were looking for. Perhaps most importantly, Chris and Sarah are absolutely wonderful hosts, full of helpful suggestions, and very friendly. We'd go back in a heartbeat.

Brilliant stay in Coral Bay
Simply put we loved it! The place is stylish - very well put together and excellent touches. The deck is large and it raps around - we had breakfast every day overlooking the bay - just beautiful. The kitchen is ready whether you are doing just basic cooking or you really want to cook up a proper dinner. One thing we were surprised by is how they had really everything we could need - coolers, snorkeling gear, beach chairs, beach towels - so many things. The location is brilliant - the island is so easy to get around. There are some tasty places to eat super close. Lastly, Sara who lives on site and takes care of the place is brilliant - super helpful - super willing and thoughtful. Bottom line is we loved it and would stay there again 100%!

Amazing Vacation
We loved every aspect of our experience at Aqua Villa and St John. If you want a wonderful home base to explore the island and have an incredible vacation than Aqua Villa is a great choice. Christopher (owner) and Sarah (manager) were both extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the island and places to explore. Beautiful, comfortable, well-stocked home with amazing views
My husband and I stayed at Aqua Villa for five nights and never wanted to leave. They sent us a google pin making finding the house so easy, and the drive up is not bad (St John roads are notoriously steep, but this place was easy to get up and back to Coral Bay and beyond, or to the beaches on the north side - Maho, Cinnamon, Francis, Trunk). The drive down into Coral Bay to restaurants is only about 5 minutes and it's less than 10 to Maho. Bonus - the property parking is flat! The kitchen is very well supplied with everything you need - dishes, cookware, bakeware, utensils. There are coolers, insulated travel mugs, and some basics like foil & wrap. No detail was missed - properties in St John use cistern water and the hosts here are thoughtful enough to provide many gallons of filtered water that they refill in town. There's lots of snorkel equipment including masks, flippers, life vests (we brought our own masks, but used their flippers); three beach chairs; and umbrellas (though umbrellas are really hard to get into the sand there, so we had no success). We never used the paddleboard or kayak, but they are there! We used the provided yoga mats each morning on the veranda, and the portable bluetooth speakers for listening to music indoors or out. Best of all, the owners were on-island at their dwelling on the top floor when we visited, and we felt like we were staying with friends! When the owners are not there, the property manager is also onsite living downstairs. They all provided perfect activity recommendations and tips. We definitely hope to visit again.
