Caribe Breeze is a very quiet, private villa that can accommodate up to 8 guests with new owners as of Dec 2024. It is now fully solar, off the grid. The villa was featured House Hunters International on the show "St. John Someday." Come see St. John’s natural beauty from Caribe Breeze.

Caribe Breeze boasts extraordinary, expansive views making it a wonderful place to relax - day or evening. British Virgin Islands are on the horizon, with breathtaking sun and moon rises. There are panoramic views of the Virgin Islands National Park, never to be developed. The sunrises and star-gazing are spectacular! Lay on a float in the pool at night and watch the shooting stars. The sound of the constant surf below is extremely calming.

There are two separate Master Suites (one King and one Queen) each with a lovely outdoor stone shower. Both the King and Queen Suites also have a single daybed for a child or extra guest. There is also a queen sleeper-sofa in the living area with its own private outdoor stone shower. Both bedrooms are reached by going outside and are not connected to the main living quarters, ensuring maximum privacy. The two lower suites have quiet Mitsubishi air conditioning. The villa can sleep up to eight comfortably. Pricing is based on two - four guests, and additional guests are $50 per person per night extra. The pool deck makes a great place to watch the tropical sunrises or enjoy a glass of wine or cold rum drink.
We have all the amenities of home, including large Roku TV, beach towels and chairs. This is a comfortable home with gorgeous interiors and furnishings.

You can walk to Salt Pond Bay and John's Folly Bay. There are several restaurants in Coral Bay and the Calabash Market is only 5 minutes away. There is excellent snorkeling just down the hill in John's Folly Bay, or drive a short distance to Salt Pond Bay and Lameshur Bay.

A rental car is a necessity. We recommend a jeep-type vehicle with some road clearance. It doesn't need to have 4WD. I have a list of all the rental agencies in St. John that I can provide, although Slim Man is a great choice. (It is also possible to rent a car in St. Thomas but it needs to be similar to a jeep and then you need to use the car ferry from St. Thomas and back.)

Wonderful Stay

Great stay. The house was very well furnished. We cooked in most nights and the kitchen was great. Dawn coffee watching the cruise ships traverse Drakes Channel. Donkey visits during happy hour. Highly recommend a stay.

Secluded Get Away

This place is at end of the island with great beaches close by. Nearby Rams Head hike is fantastIc. Coral Bay is 10minutes away. The homes sea views are fantastic as well.

The perfect place for our family!

We had SUCH a lovely time at this amazing home! We are a family of 6, with kids who are aged 13, 11, 8, and 5, and this was a relaxing, welcoming, well-equipped home for us. Everyone loved it; the views are amazing and it was such a treat for us! We'd love to go again!

Great view!

We had a wonderful week here and spent every evening enjoying the view and the breeze on the porch. The location is worth the drive. Miss Lucy's on thur night (at the owner's sugestion) was magical. Can't wait to return next year!

Nice property.

The property met our expectations - quiet, peaceful, private. The owner was very nice and helpful. The property is a little difficult to find and a 4x4 with good ground clearance is recommended the long unpaved driveway.

Can't say enough about this place! We've stayed at many places around STJ and this is one of the best. It has everything you need. the beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully stocked with new appliances and cookware, beach chairs, coolers and is very clean. The view, the view, the view! We cant wait to book this property again!

wonderful views

We had 10 wonderful days at Caribe Breeze. If you are looking to get away this is the place. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet and seclusion. Yes, its a long way out to this end of the island but its worth it. We could watch the sunrise from our deck and the sunset from the driveway. We will be back!

Doesn't get much better than this!

Our family of 5 enjoyed this stay at every turn. Access to Salt Pond Beach was next door. Miss Lucy's is next door. The neighbors are close but never felt our privacy impeded on. Stay in, go out, it really makes it a tough choice. This is just a spectacular place to call home for a vacation. 6 stars out of 5!

Cant beat the view!

Spectacular view! Great set up for two couples wanting privacy. Pool is cool and refreshing. Sunrises are a must for early birds and even not so early birds. Proximity to less crowded beaches is nice. The road up to the house is less desirable so make sure you have a 4x4!

My wife and two children stayed at Caribe Breeze, everything was amazing, great house, with a beautiful view. Kristen was awesome to work with, very responsive and prompt with every email, and question I had. Everything about the house and property is just as advertised, even better when we first walked through the door, and saw the amazing house, with the jaw dropping view. Amazing house & property, and beautiful island, made for a perfect vacation.

Highly recommend

Our family of 5 (myself, my wife, our two 16 year olds and our 11 year old) had a wonderful vacation on St. John Island staying at Caribe Breeze. The set up of the rental property worked so well for us. We had so much fun in the pool and loved our meals on the deck overlooking Coral Bay. The house is very well cared for and clean and worked great for us. The view is spectacular! The location is great with a short drive to Great Salt Pond Bay which is a beautiful beach and has access to the Ram's Head hike. Kris, the owner, was fantastic, e.g. always responsive to questions before our vacation and available if any thing came up during our stay. We look forward to a return visit to Caribe Breeze!

Great time at Caribe Breeze

We loved our stay at this villa. It was first time on the Coral Bay side and found it very easy to navigate. Drive up to the villa is a little bumpy, but not out of the island norm. The view was fantastic and the living quarters were nicely done. The master has a nice little alcove with a twin bed, which is perfect if you have younger child. My only complaint is the bed was a little stiff, but in fairness that could have just been a me thing. Linens and bedding were great. The place was exactly as pictured. If you do stay here make sure to stop at Miss Lucy's from the Grouper Rueben. The three outdoor showers are a nice touch. Also very nice breeze at this location.

Vacation Paradise

This was our 6th trip to St John and the 5th villa we've rented. Caribe Breeze is the new favorite. My husband and I spent 10 heavenly days relaxing by the pool and enjoying the view with our daughter and her husband. The sleeping arrangements allowed for plenty of privacy and we all loved the outdoor showers. Each day we'd pile into the rental jeep and go out exploring, but we never stayed away for too long because we loved spending time at the house. We enjoyed eating at the St John Brewers Tap Room several times for lunch in Cruz Bay, but we grilled almost every night at the house. We arrived late on the first night and the villa manager Roseanne was so nice, showing us the way to the house and getting us settled in. I'm about to book it again for next year!

Caribe Breeze has it all, a perfect villa featuring the best of Caribbean views, sounds, and amenities. Perched on an east facing hill above the Caribbean Sea you are treated to BVI and USVI island views, sound of crashing Caribbean surf in the distance, and an inviting pool and decks for all day sun or shade. The Caribe Breeze’s elevation affords beautiful sun rises, bird watching, exhilarating walks and cooling breezes. The house is furnished comfortably with living and kitchen areas upstairs and bedrooms downstairs. All cooking utensils and appliances, electronic device connections, and beach equipment is available. Our party of two couples stayed for 9 days and all was perfect. Our thanks to the owners and managers for a welcoming stay.

Sublime...

Fourth trip to Coral Bay and far and away, our favorite accommodation. Lots of room for a family of four (or more), the house is quite complete with generous appointments, great bedding/linens, even a spot of rum in the cupboard. The views are spectacular and each day, a more glorious sunrise. Pool was fantastic and enjoyed every day. Island wide black out our second night evolved into a poolside camp out on lovely chaises, under the most amazing night sky, complete with shooting stars. Easy access to (and not to be missed) the Tourist Trap, Salt Pond, Angel's Rest, and with 4 WD, Lameshur and nice hiking choices. Rosanne, the local property manager, was very welcoming and responsive to our questions. Highly recommend to those who like off the beaten track and have a sense of adventure....

Spectacular views day and night

Spending 2 weeks at Caribe Breeze provided incredible views from 2 porches. The upper deck for our meals and watching the sunrise, islands and rainbows, and the lower porch for sunning, cooling off in the pool and amazing star gazing at night. A walk up the driveway on a clear night can show a sunset view to Puerto Rico. The villa is beautifully decorated and the bedrooms work well for a family of 4 plus. Loved the outdoor showers. Every day was a choice of where to snorkel and hike. Be sure to rent a 4 wheel drive. Great food at nearby places - Tourist Trap, Shipwreck Landing (smoothies at Columbo's) and groceries at 2 local stores (Calabash and Dolphin Market). So nice to eat meals here when done exploring for the day. Snorkel nearby at Salt Pond and hike Rams Head or drive to Maho and other great locations. Thank you Kris and Lindsey.

Spectacular View! Delightful accomodations!!

This was our first trip to St. John, and I am certain that there will be many more to come. Caribe Breeze is an amazing property and the attention to detail is obvious from the moment you walk through the door. The owners have clearly taken great care to ensure that the accommodations live up to the most spectacular view imaginable. I think that it's fair to say that my entire family was truly amazed at the views, amenities, and privacy that Caribe Breeze provided. As amazing as the pictures are, they cannot compare to seeing the home and view in person. Every room was comfortable and impeccably appointed, the pool was an absolute delight, and the stone showers were a new and amazing experience for all. The owners and concierge also provided great tips and information to make our trip immensely enjoyable. We haven't stopped talking about a return visit to Caribe Breeze since the moment we left. We will definitely be back to enjoy this phenomenal property and all that it has to offer.

RELAXING FAMILY VACATION

My mom, husband and I spent a week at this fabulous home. Our adventure began at the road below as three weary travelers ascended the rocky road via 4 wheel drive. At the end of the road sits a hidden gem adorned by flowering shrubs and a red roof. Upon entry to the house, the tasteful furnishings and nicely appointed artwork are enhanced by the beautiful ocean views beyond. The smell and sound of the surf below relax the senses and speak calm to an overstimulated mind from the city. This was what we were hoping for. The cottage is immaculate, comfortable beds, sparkling pool and as previously noted unsurpassed views. It sits directly above the infamous Tourist Trap roadside cafe which is handy for after beach drinks and delicious sandwiches. The owners were responsive and a pleasure to work with. We would definitely return to this home and would not hesitate to recommend to others.

Relaxed and recharged

Just returned from a lovely week at Caribe Breeze. Our family loved the views, the comfortable beds, the stargazing, the outdoor showers and the refreshing non stop trade winds. All the details made for a very nice stay. The soft towels and bedding were awesome and the books and games for guests made our downtime fun. We loved the proximity to Salt Pond Beach. Amazing beach with great snorkeling and access to the Rams Head Trail. Being so close allowed us to get there early and enjoy some solitude and some shade. We had a villa gravity day and swam in the pool (perfect temp during the day, a little chilly at night) The driveway was bumpy but not a deal beaker in my opinion. Lots of places open now for dinner nearby. Enjoyed Pizza in Paradise, Aqua Bistro, Wok on the beach and Skinny Legs. Takes a bit longer to get over to Cruz Bay but we loved driving around the island. There are lots of bright street lights which I was happy to see to guide you home at night :) If you want to stay in Coral Bay this villa can’t be beat! Felt private and peaceful. Loved the flowering plants all around this charming villa.

Absolutely Perfect!

We just returned from 2 weeks at the villa and booked it again for next year before we left last weekend! We have been coming to St John for 26 years and this villa is stunning! Perfect set up with lots of privacy for 2 couples. We were there with our daughter and her husband and never felt privacy to be an issue. The set up with the detached second bedroom is wonderful. Very well furnished and well equipped with everything you need or want. It is immaculate and very well maintained. The pool is delightful after the beach, at night looking at the stars or early in the morning after your hike to Ram Head! The pictures don't do justice to the view justice at any time of day. Over the years we have had issues with mosquitoes in St John, but not at this villa at all. We loved watching the hummingbirds and bananaquits. And the surprise bonus was the sunset from the top of the driveway. we would take the Adirondack chairs and a bottle of bubbly out there to watch the sunset. Perfect end to perfect days. Laura & Mark

Disappointed

Let’s start with verbal directions. She gave us wrong route numbers, insisting they were correct. It took us approximately 2 hours to find our destination. Later that night we found written directions on her refrigerator that were correct, but obviously she did not read them to us. She was clearly upset that it took us so long to arrive. The next day we had problems with the power. She told us we were using too much power and make sure we turned off everything when left. The solar company representative came out and told us we weren’t doing anything wrong and it ended up being a bad breaker they replaced. There is so much more to this story. If you want to know more please contact me. Wednesday we went to turn on the ac in our bedroom and it didn’t work. We didn’t get a new one until the day before we left. That is 7 days without an ac. The sheets in both rooms were stained. Our bedspread was dirty looking. The wash cloths were obviously very old. I took pictures of the stains on the sheets.
