Over all it’s a convenient location, I would recommend trimming back the “landscape “ off the back door and investing in some decent cookware. It’s a fine place to stay if you just need a place to sleep and don’t plan on hanging or cooking at the rental
We were staying for a wedding and it was SUPER close to the ferry. It was close to food and shopping too. There were only two window units for three bedrooms, but the floors were FREEZING. Pack socks.
This house is so convenient to everything in St. Ignace! Just 5 minutes or less to the ferry docks, restaurants, etc. Other reviewers have correctly noted that the house sits right behind a grocery. We found this quite nice to be able to walk across the street and be inside the grocery store. If you were going further into the UP or into the lower peninsula, the house is about one minute from the I-75 interchange. Communication with the property owners was excellent and thorough.
I am very happy with the improved beds and mattresses in the the twin room, and it appears you took my suggestions from last year to heart! I appreciate that the dusty afghan was taken off the wall!! 😁 The air purifier helped, and the addition of the room air conditioner in the main bedroom was much appreciated by our brother and sister-in-law - as well as the rest of us. The small touches like the extra throw blankets on the bed were lovely, and the house was very clean as usual. Thank you for taking our suggestions seriously and making our stay wonderful again!

Frustration
The tv or internet didn’t work. Had to pack up and move after first night. Liked the place we moved to but just the frustration of having to unpack then pack and unpack again.
Overall the house was fine and we'd stay there again. However, a few suggestions:
1. There were only two forks in the silverware drawer. Obviously this needs to be corrected.
2. There were no shades on the bedroom windows and the curtains didn't do a very good job.
3. It would be nice to have a box of Kleenex.
4. The garage was a mess. We didn't use it, but if somebody wanted to, they would've had to clean it first.
We were a party of 6 females.
PROS:The house accommodated us all in the 3 bedrooms for sleeping. Plenty of seating in the living room and kitchen. It was really nice to have a washing machine and dryer at our disposal. Super close to the grocery store.
CONS: The kitchen trash had not been taken out from the tenets before and had flies in it. Not enough silverware for 6 people. Dishes had a dirty film on them. Greasy cookware. Sand in the fridge. Wi-Fi was messed up.
**I called to notify the rental of the issues in the kitchen and the Wi-Fi. It took 1.5 days for me to get a hold of someone. I left 2 messages and on the 3rd call someone picked up. The lady was gracious and refunded the cleaning fee and apologized.
All in all we had decent stay. We didn’t hang out at the house much. We were out and about, sight seeing.
It was a nice little place to stay for our family vacation; better than a hotel! We liked the location for easy access to everything, and it was very quiet. The cookware had been updated with new pots and pans. The AC in the bedroom was in the closet when we arrived. Our boys staying in that room put it back in the window and said it worked for the first few nights, but stopped working by the last night. The living room could use more comfortable furniture. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

lacking muster
The house had a musty smell and could use a serious deep cleaning. The furniture was very old and very
unsupporting although The main bed felt like a rock.
In order to have coffee I had to purchase coffee and filters only to find that the coffee brewer didn't work correctly. It had the wrong carafe. Also needed to puchase toilet paper as only 1/2 roll was provided.

It was not as nice as the pictures made it look. It was much smaller. Lighting was not good since ma
It needs maintenance. Several lights burnt out. Kitchen sink leaks and bathroom sink does not drain well. Poor lighting in the bedrooms. Not very clean.
This house is in a great location for getting to all the tourist sights in the area. Easy to get too and really close to the best breakfast place in town. (Wild blueberry restaurant and bakery). Could use some updated furnature. Only one window air conditioner so take fans if staying when the weather is hot. We had 70's so not a problem.
This place was perfect for what we needed. 5 adults had more than enough room. The back yard was huge and great for relaxing (when it wasnt raining) would definitely book again
This property was great and close to everything. The neighborhood was quiet. Stores were close and the beach was within walking distance to Lake Huron! The houses only had one AC unit in one bedroom, and it was 85-90 degrees in the home, we found fans to be our best friend! We brought our own and thankfully there was plenty in the house to help circulate air. Would love to stay again next time!
Con: The only thing that we didn’t really like was the bathroom doors didn’t have locks, so we all kept walking in on each other! But we made it work overall!
The three bedroom house is clean and bug free. Grocery store is nearby and within walking distance. Neighborhood is mostly quiet except for morning deliveries to the grocery store.
Great alternative if you aren't a fan of vacationers running up and down hallways at all hours of the night. I would rent again if in the St. Ignace area again.
