Beachfront, Plantation, Pet Friendly! Large Sun Decks!

Join us on beautiful Saint George Island for healthy, fresh, salt air! Beach Paradise, updated after Hurricane Michael, is located within the St George Plantation features an open great room separating 2 bedrooms and a shared bath on each wing, making it perfect for two families vacationing together! Two large sliding glass doors feature expansive Gulf views and provide access to the large sundeck, perfect to lounge on to catch up on your reading with that needed ray of sunshine!

The two beachfront bedrooms have king beds and picture window views of the Gulf. One other bedroom has a king bed while the fourth bedroom has a queen bed. The sofa in the den will sleep two. All bedrooms have flat panel TVs with cable service and Netflix with your own account, and free wifi capable of streaming multiple devices.

Downstairs, a private boardwalk to the beach gives easy access to playing on the white sandy beaches of St. George Island, shore fishing for the days catch or a relaxing evening walk on the beach to watch the day's sunset (many of which are just spectacular!). There is a private outdoor shower for a quick cleanup after a day on the beach. A fish cleaning sink with running water to clean the catch of the day. Several beach chairs and a beach umbrella are supplied.

Beach Paradise is in the gated community of St. George Plantation. "The Plantation" has two olympic sized swimming pools, tennis/pickle ball courts and a fitness center. Paved bike paths stretch from one end of the island all the way to Dr. Julian G Bruce State Park - approximately 10 miles from end to end. It is about three blocks/.5 miles to the Plantation Clubhouse.

The "cable service" is via the YouTube TV app on the GoogleTV streaming device. The basic channels should be available with over 100 channels. Every TV should have the dongle attached to an HDMI port.

Please note that motorcycles and golf carts are not allowed in The Plantation when driven by rental guests.

Needs pest control, TV access & updates

We loved the location and thought the property owner tried to be helpful but the property needs pest control - too many roaches and roach spray under the sink should have been a clue - the deck to the beach is dangerous - no guardrail and four foot drop on either side - the 5 TV’s did not work - the password was not working and ridiculous despite the owners advising we needed to be patient - should have been more simple. Could be a really great place but also the walls and ceiling were crumbling in areas and needed updates. Could be a really nice place - but needs more attention.

Family vacation 2025

I could write pages but will keep it short-you don’t go to St. George Island for all the tourist type of things. You go to spend quality time with your family and friends. The house was exactly as listed, on the beach with its own boardwalk to the beach. Some people may want more than 2 full bathrooms-but it worked for us. We’re a family of 6 adults and 2 children. We’re already talking about reserving this same house next year!!! Thank you to the owner for sharing his piece of paradise on the beach with us!! 5 for me and mine!

Wonderful beach house

Great house right on the beach! Fantastic property with comfy beds and couches, nice washer and dryer and huge TV. Buck is so easy to work with and has added touches to the property that made us feel welcomed and right at home— laundry detergent, dish detergent, nice chargers next to each bed, beach chairs, umbrellas etc. Would definitely rent here again!

Relaxion on the Plantation

Our 6th vacation to St. George Island. This was definitely a perfect location on the Plantation, ever so quiet and exceptionally clean! We even brought our little dog. Buck was very responsive and truly a wonderful host. Such a restful, peaceful vacation...we will be back!

Disappointed

The location was great and the house was clean. We all felt that the deck was not very safe. Desperately needs to be replaced. Railing is very shakey and board are very old. The kitchen and living room had many soft spots that had been covered over with vinyl flooring. Shower curtains had mold and also the washing machine had mold on the inside of door. Glass sliding door was almost impossible to open. Enjoyed our stay but house definitely needs repairs. House is over priced compared to other houses we have rented in this area.

Great Location - Great for Relaxed Family Vacation

Like other reviews have mentioned, the house does need a little TLC. Chipping ceiling paint and on some walls. With that being said, the house was very clean and comfortable. The views were beautiful. There wasn't anyone staying in either of the houses to the left and right of us so we had the whole beach to ourselves. We played pickleball every morning and met some of the neighborhood locals. All who were super nice. The pickle ball courts were under construction so they had one of the tennis courts converted which wasn't a big deal to us. The courts were a nice 2.5 mile bike ride which we made using the bike trails so we could gawk at the beautiful houses in the neighborhood. We had a loggerhead lay her eggs in the dunes right in front of the house so we got to speak to the turtle volunteers which was a bonus. There were beach chairs and toys for kids. They house had everything we needed. We had no issues and would definitely stay here again!

Great Time

Just a wonderful week. The weather was great, the home was as advertized. We were able to relax and enjoy ourselves. Everything was super clean. Buck provided what we needed to make the week hectic free. I would recommend this home to anyone who is looking for a great place for a great time.

Great Location and Layout, Needs TLC

House has a great layout and is in a really nice location on the beach / in the plantation. The owner is communicative and helpful and the price seemed good. However, the house has been 'ridden hard' and is below the standard that one should expect at this price point. Issues? Paint chipping and cracking, drywall falling off, shower head not working, fan in bedroom without bulbs and non functional, extra blankets dirty and smell like wet dog, sheets stained with coffee stains, washing machine loaded with mildew, stocked with bare minimum supplies (one roll paper towel, 3 garbage bags, 4 toilet paper rolls for a 1 week stay). There was surely some good, but renters should be aware of the 'bare minimum' approach to the property. There are so many basic things that could be done to make the stay more enjoyable.

The View is Everything!

Such an amazing Thanksgiving week with family! We enjoyed spending time on the deck watching the dolphins! Buck was an amazing host as well! We had a minor glitch with hot water and he took care of it so quickly! Thank you!

This house is perfectly situated on the beach and our family of 4 had a lovely time relaxing at SGI! We loved watching the dolphins, and our kids play, right from the porch! It was a short, pretty ride to the pool. Great location in the plantation. We had a great week! Thank you for hosting us!

Relaxing Beach Getaway

Our family really enjoyed this property and our time on SGI. Fantastic space to relax and have fun on the beach, just steps from the house. Year 2 at Gulfside

We stayed here last year as well and again we were satisfied with the property and location. We had the opportunity to do some more exploring of the Plantation area and with the home being centrally located within the community it allowed us to take off in any direction. You can’t beat the privacy and the Gulf being pretty much in your backyard!
