Cute but not well kept
I rented this property from 8/8 through 8/11. While we really liked the location and space the house provided, I have to provide some feedback. The house smelled so bad - musty and moldy. As soon as we walked in, the smell hit us and even though we opened the windows to air it out, it did not go away. It started to affect us, leading to coughing and sore throats. There were broken blinds in one room and mold on one of the shower curtains. Also, the bedroom with the laundry was too hot. Asking us to keep the a/c at 75 degrees when we had people sleeping in that hot room was unacceptable. I hope the owners take this to heart and invest in remedying the underlying issues before another family with small children stays there.

Exactly as expected!
The listing for this house was exact. While I agree the house itself could be updated, it still provided plenty of space for my family, on the beach, close to restaurants etc., and was clean. Communication, check in, and rules were sent with no issues.

Vintage charm and plenty of room for all
Pros: lots of space and beds for all 13 in my party. loved having the separate living space downstairs for when some wanted to go to bed vs. keep the party going within walking distance of bar, restaurants, and shops. beach is an easy hike over dunes. you can also drive out the beach for $10 recommend 4 wheel drive great views from the house and balconies cons: outdoor shower and faucets practically useless. The pressure was really low and water source must be a well or reclaimed water with a foul odor. I feel like the house would get so sandy because we couldn't really wash off outside. Could use more bath towels The TV remote in the bedroom was missing batteries overall we had a great time and thought the house had a lot of charm!!! The age of the house makes it more interesting. It totally reminds we of where we would stay when I was a kid going to the beach. I'm in my 40s now.

Nice old no frills beach house.
Nothing special. Downstairs apt has separate entrance. So you have to go outside to access it from upstairs.

Awesome location
Location is great, for the price what we expected. Walk right onto the beach from the backyard (which is a nice size). Plenty of sleeping room. House needs a deep clean of all appliances, rooms, and windows.

Perfect for large groups
The property was as shown in the pictures and perfect for our karate class outing. The house is a little older, but given the price & room set up, this was a gem. The house is right on the beach with a lovely yard and lots of porch space. Everyone appreciated the fact that the house had plenty of towels & having 2 refrigerators came in handy for storing supplies. We would definitely stay here again.

Very old house
The house is very old, so old that if you have rollers on your luggage it will travel south. This rental is in need of repair throughout the house, the balcony railings are falling off and the wood on both balconies is rotting, a serious danger for anyone on the balcony. The pipes have a high pitch noise when anyone takes a shower, windows were so dirty you couldn't see out them and the inside was dirty. Forget the upstairs attic as a room, there are 2 beds up there and they are very uncomfortable. The bed in the master was comfortable but the master bathroom is in need of repair and updating, master shower has no pressure. The first floor room has a strong mildew smell and the bedroom is too hot to sleep in. The bathroom on that floor is very old and rusty. I would never stay here again.

St. Augustine vacation
We needed room for 14 people, 3 of whom were 6 and younger. The teenagers are really adults. We were able to accommodate everyone for sleeping and the kitchen table allowed most of us to eat together. The kitchen on the main floor and the second kitchen on the lower floor had everything that we needed. The beach is a 2 minute walk over 2 sand dunes and a great place for swimming and sun bathing. The rental had everything we needed and was a 15 minute drive to the historic area of St. Augustine which we visited frequently. Publix grocery store is only a mile away which was convenient. And Mango Mangos restaurant has great Caribbean food and is 2 blocks away. Sunshine Realty notified us that the rental was available about 11 AM so we didn't need to wait til the 3 PM check-in to get access. We made on small request to fix an item and they responded quickly and resolved the issue --- they intend to please. The only recommendation we have is to have a faster speed internet connection as the kids' moves sometimes stopped playing mid movie. Overall we were pleased with the rental and very pleased with Sunshine Realty.

Great Aunt’s Beach House
The listing is as described. Plenty of room for everyone. There are several functional beach chairs and a few beach towels. The kitchens are functional, you will need to purchase things like foil, plastic wrap and spices but there are plenty of pots and pans and serving bowls etc, there are some small charcoal grills, the lights in the kitchen were funny, you flip the switch and the light comes on a hour later haha. It reminded us of an old beach house passed down from generation to generation with new and old furniture combined. Some windows don’t stay open so need to be propped up for the ocean breeze to come in, the floor in the front upstairs room has a distinct slant, and there are no lights on the back deck. But over all we felt it was clean and the location was FANTASTIC! The Sunshine realty property managers are very nice allowing us to have a late check out since our flights were late afternoon. I would stay there again, we had a great time, it was centrally located with a couple of grocery stores near by and TONS of great restaurants. You could even walk to get ice cream and to a few restaurants and it’s only a mile beach walk to the pier.

Property at 1 1/2 N
This was not the property that we stayed in. We were greatly moved next door to a much nicer and newer facility. Pictures on the VRBO did not give a true picture of the property or condition of said property. Room on the 3rd floor not in pictures, construction next door not mentioned, broken blind down stairs not mentioned. The property needs a overhaul because it is old and need of updating. Working with one of your associates was a pleasure when she said we could move next door to a mucher newer cleaner house, and I appreciate all her hard work. Thanks again I would now think of using your service again and recomend to other people, again because of understanding of the condition of the original house.

Classic ocean-front beach house (with lots of twin beds)
This is a classic beach house with super convienent access directly to the beach via a private path over the dunes. The main level has a spacious kitchen and living area, and a nice deck; however, only one of the three bedrooms on the main level has a king bed. The other two have two twin beds each (the description on VRBO says that one of these should have had a queen bed instead of twins, but that was not the case). While this may be great for a family with lots of kids, it was less ideal for multiple adult couples. The ground level of the house is a stand alone efficiency with a small kitchen and a fair size living area. It has one bedroom with a queen bed. There are also two twin beds on the ground level but I wouldn't say they qualify as a bedroom. The twin beds are right inside the front door in a room that's completely open to the living area. The ground level was also a bit musty when we were there, granted hurricane Irma had just passed through the week before so we were probably lucky the house was still there at all (lol). Long story short, this is a fantastic place right on the beach and also within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. It is a comfortabe house with a lot of space, but technically, I would call it a four bedroom, and replacing the twin beds with a queen in one if the main level bedrooms would be a big improvement. Regardless, we all really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back! And besides, you're at the beach, why worry about where you're going to sleep, right?

Great place, especially for a crowd
Great house, relaxing and full of old beach house charm. The balcony's are awesome and the yard is pretty private. Lots of linens, towels, cooking nessesities, indoor games, books, puzzles and beach items provided. When we stayed there was a small standing charcoal grill. Washer and dryer on each level and soap for two loads provided. The downstairs apartment was complete with a full kitchen but the queen bed in this apartment was too hard for anyone to sleep on, however there are also two comfortable twins beds. As far as the beach access- while there is no structure in between the house and the beach it is still a bit of a haul there as you must cross a large sand dune (with awesome wildlife!), a sand beach access road and another sand dune before you actually reach the beach. So you will get some excercise! We really enjoyed our stay and made some great memories.

We loved this charming house AND it's location
We loved this house. It was clean, charming and had all the bells and whistles you could want. It is reminicent of the houses I knew as a child only better. It has a wonderful location and we could walk to the great restaurant, Beachcomber, which has a sand playground for the children. Big Plus! My only wish is it had a larger hot water heater for upstairs. It was fine until I washed my hair and the hot water ran out.
