Family Vacation
The house is a quaint cottage with a nice small pool and plenty of towels and beach towels. We had a wonderful time however the oven door and freezer door needs to be replaced.

We loved the proximity to the beach, Pier, restaurants, even a Starbucks right across the street, The little cottage was perfect for the 2 of us. We enjoyed the patio with pool, as well as long walks on the beach. We would love to return.

Lovely little home
The house is nice and the back yard patio is very spacious. However the stove is still not fixed, the bathroom doors don't lock and the cabana has a hole in the roof. There's a few other maintenance issues. I made a call and they came right out the next morning.

Our week at Anastasia Lodge Cabana
We loved the modern amenities and additions to this original and classic beach home at St. Augustine Beach. We were disappointed that we were unable to use the pool due to issues with the pool heat and the delay in repair of the pool heat. We were refunded the additional charges for pool heat though. The beach was a very short walk away and we were able to watch a SpaceX launch from the beach. There are also several restaurants within walking distance. Very convenient access to Old St. Augustine too.

Property was as promised. Beds were comfy and the pool in the back was great for those days we weren’t at the beach. Location is close to downtown St Augustine and the beach. Would recommend!

Our 2nd time here
To come back when you’re done visiting the beach just to get into the heated pool is the best feeling. The cleanliness has been top notch both visits, and the pool guy has come both times, so you know it is well maintained.

Great House
We had a really great stay! However there are some quirks with the house. The third bedroom/cabana is more like a pool house/shed/storage. So it smelled like chlorine and moldy/wet. So it didn’t feel safe to sleep and breathe in. The other rooms were fine and with the pullout couches it worked to have nobody sleep in the pool house. The picture in the listing of the cabana is outdated - it’s just a stained/dirty futon. The pool and deck are really great, lots of outdoor seating and a quick walk to restaurants/beach. The oven door is broken (like others reviewed), so if you turn it on it takes forever to cook anything and heats the whole house. Overall I would still recommend the house I just wouldn’t plan on sleeping in the cabana or plan much cooking for meals.

Lovely Beach Bungalow with an Incredible Location
We have loved our time at this amazing rental home. The beach is just steps away and the included surfboard was such a thoughtful touch. The backyard plunge pool was just what we needed with five kids ages 5 to 13. I highly recommend staying here and we can’t wait to come back!

St. Augustine wedding
The home is amazing. We were there for my son’s wedding in town. The location is perfect. Beach is across the street, restaurants in walking distance, stores close by. The home description on your web site needs to be adjusted to show as a two bedroom. The third bedroom is not a bedroom. It is a pool house with a futon. The pool house smells of a strong chemical smell and dead ants keep reappearing on the futon daily. A human can not sleep in there for fear of health issues with the smell and ants biting them. We did count of that bedroom as a room and it was a problem with a bedroom not available. A member of our party had to sleep on the main living room couch. We had an infant and the room needed to be available during the night and early morning hours. With someone sleeping in living room it was difficult for my daughter to care for her baby and difficult for my son to sleep. For the next renter that should be adjusted to show two bedrooms. We really did enjoy the home. It was a very relaxing atmosphere. The back yard is so much fun. We enjoyed the pool. Thank you for renting to us for our mini vacation for my son’s wedding.

Nice getaway
This cabana is charming- very cozy and quaint- has everything you need for a nice getaway. The house was fairly clean upon arrival but could have used a little more attention to detail- example- the soap used by a previous rental was still in the shower, some of the floor was grimy. The only situation is that the queen bed collapsed on our first night, and we had to sleep on a mattress on the floor for 6 nights because it could not be replaced immediately. However, the property association were great in communicating, checking it out, assisting, etc. Overall a great experience.

So so location
My boys and I spent 5 nights at this home. Location is good if you want to fish on the pier. This was a reunion trip for us and I had planned on cooking my kids favorites. We weren’t able to do much of that because the oven door did not close properly and heat escaped and the bottom of the oven wasn’t clean so it would smoke every time we tried to cook…sometimes to the point of setting off smoke detector. The daily pans were terrible…you really need to invest in a small-medium-large pan to do the basics. Two of the beds were comfortable but the others were dismal for an adult. And to top it off, the police were out two nights in a row dealing with unknown people hanging around for hours (we didn’t call police… neighbors did). We travel somewhere different every year… this was our most expensive nightly rate but the lowest quality.

House is great but…
The house is great as is the location but they are not very clear about the " heated pool “ or the "3rd" bedroom. The pool was cold and we were told that we should have given 72 hours notice for the heat to be turned on. It says this NOWHERE that I can find which means it is not clearly stated. The listing says HEATED pool. I asked for it to be turned on at that point but was refused, why? The 3rd bedroom is a sitting room of the other bedroom with a sleeper sofa, was not comfortable. Shouldn’t be listed as a bedroom without a bed in it. There is plenty of room so they should just put a bed in there. Other than that our stay was fun the place is old but well kept the backyard is very cool.

Love Hate Relationship
Pros: Very clean Lovely private back yard Great proximity to the beach Comfortable space Comfortable bed in primary bedroom Vacasa responsive to help texts, calls and fixing problems Lots of beach chairs and towels Easy check in No local recommendations, info etc like you get with most vacation rentals Cons: Pool pump broken upon arrival and notified 4 hours after checking in (fixed on day 5 of 8 day stay) Air conditioning died one early morning and was fixed by 7:15 pm same day - it was 87 in the house by the time it got fixed Very uncomfortable bed in second bedroom (multiple reviews mentioning this) Beach umbrella was broken upon arrival Cabana is definitely not an appropriate bedroom as advertised (smells, very stuffy, Bed not made upon arrival) 3 conflicting sets of checkout instructions (VRBO (booking), Vacasa (property management) and posted on the wall in the house

Family Getaway
My family and I were in town for a wedding and we recently experienced a loss in our family. I must say that being at this home provided some much needed peace and serenity. The pool and backyard area is just magical... and being able to walk right across the street to watch the sunrise was extremely convenient and serene. Sometimes you sign up for something, hoping for the best, which is really what we were doing, considering a previous recent catastrophe we had with VRBO in LA. However, this place was just like what we had hoped for, in fact exceeded our expectations. ONLY complaints: 1. The 2nd bedroom mattress needs to be replaced. My husband and I slept on this bed and had back pain the entire trip. 2. The listing showed a paddle board and/or surfboard available for use and those were not anywhere to be found. 3. I love white towels and use them at home, but these towels were a bit dingy and need a deep wash with bleach to be extra clean for guests!

Great location and beautiful place to relax
The house is a cute little bungalow located across from beach access. There is a short walk across the road to the beach. We spent most of our time going out in the old city at night and relaxing by the pool or on the beach during the day. There a Publix's very close. Realistically you could ride or walk almost anywhere. Our trip was a girls trip of 5 women. There were 2 bed rooms with a back room we used as an extra bedroom that has a pull out couch and door that closes. We also used the living room couch sofa bed. There is a twin bed in the pool house/room area but I really only think a kid would want to stay in there. The pool was great. It was very cold when we got there. The manager turned on the heater which did help but took a day and a half to make a difference. The only issues we had were minor. Had to call for extra sheets for the sofa beds but they did bring them. Also there was no info on trash pick up and when we got there the trash was already full. Also everyone was a little congested while in the house so maybe some issues with mold/ allergeans but nothing obvious, no smells or sightings of anything . Figure this may just be part of being in Florida with all the humidity and flooding they get. Overall it was a great place. Felt we all fit well with enough space. There was great outdoor eating and places to relax. Would definitely come back.

Cozy beach house
This little house was very cute and fit our family's needs - two adults and two teens. There are two bedrooms and two living areas with pull out sofas. Overall the place was large enough for our family of four. Having the pool was nice when we wanted to get a break and the covered back porch was wonderful for watching the rain. This is an older house so if you have an expectation of large and spacious areas you should reframe your perspective. If you like 50s / 60s cottages then this is your cup of tea. The location of the house is convenient to the beach, the pier, and to some really cute dining establishments. We enjoyed listening to the music from Salt Life in the evening if you are on the back deck. We had to work with the property manager on two separate issues (very loose bedroom door knob and a broken lamp) and they were responsive and helpful for both incidents. The house was clean when we arrived however I would recommend that the cleaning crew dust the air vents from time to time. One point of caution regarding the wood deck - splinters. We would highly recommend not walking barefoot on them as we had two major splinter incidents during our stay with each splinter being about an inch long. Thankfully we had packed a first aid kit and all was well but the decking is wood and it is subjected to Florida weather and a pool. Overall we really loved this house and would highly recommend it! Its a true gem.

Celebration at the beach!
We spent 3 days at Anastasia Lodge having a bachelorette weekend. There were 7 of us total. This is a great location. The pool in backyard was essential and pretty much where we hung out. Lots of room and space to spread out. I would recommend a beach cart if you plan to go to the beach. It is about a 7 minute walk if you use the cross walks. The beach is beautiful and there is a large splash pad. You are right by the pier but it is $2 per person to enter the pier. You are at minimum 15 min to the main downtown part of st Augustine depending on traffic which can be nuts at certain times of the day. Take an Uber! The house itself is pretty private. It was quiet and the pictures are accurate. We all slept comfortably. There was a bed in the little pool house but it’s more like a massage table and the pool house has a very strong chemical smell. Can’t imagine sleeping in there. There is a 1/2 bath in the pool house which was nice. The kitchen is fully stocked. It has a single bullet blender and no crock pot or cutting board (at least I never found them). We had to call and request extra washcloths, a sponge, and trash bags and they were all brought right over. The home is beautifully decorated and again looks like the pictures. 2 queen beds and 2 queen sleeper sofas. Now for just a few negatives. Seems like the cleaning crew needs some attention to detail. The bedspreads and pillow shams all need to be washed. The ones in master room leading to pool especially! There were food crumbs under the dining table and some other random places that got missed. The front of the refrigerator had not been cleaned for a while. I think the floors needed a good mop. Maybe they just got vaccuumed but need to be mopped and I only found a broom and a bottle of Windex. The outside trash was an issue. It was so full from the previous renters it was hard to find a place to put any of our trash. 2 cans and 2 recycle bins were packed when we got there. Not sure if the trash didn’t get taken out on the prior Monday but it smelled bad and was right next to the grill. Not sure if we were required to recycle but if we are 2 cans inside should be provided. One for trash one for recycle. To address previous reviews..the towels and sheets were all clean and fresh. Both beds were very comfortable so maybe one of the mattresses got changed. I did not sleep on either sofa but no one complained about them. Overall weekend was great!
