"I booked this sight unseen, from the US. We Rishikesh for a memorable trip - this hotel was well reviewed on several sites. It is set in a spectacular location, with a clear view of the Ganga. The approach road is, as is typical for Rishikesh, a one-lane narrow street - friendly people at both ends keep watch to ensure that cars do not go in at the same time at both ends! The rooms are clean, comfortable and have fans as well as heating (I did not check the air-conditioning). The food is excellent - it is strictly vegetarian and since they do not have a liquor license, one cannot get alcohol in the restaurant. The staff arranged a tuk-tuk for us to visit other locations in Rishikesh. They are extremely friendly and nice, especially the front desk."

"Wonderful property and staff. They treat you really well and are respectful and accommodating. I loved the location, close to Paramarth Niketan. Walkable to Laxman Jhoula. It’s a quiet neighborhood, which is nice. Close to Bhootnath temple. "

If you go to the spa you must see her; she is incredible. The food was delicious. I love my morning masala omelette. Rahul the housekeeping manager left many pleasant surprises-like a foot soak. The room was wonderful. I did the stargazing as well which was very nice. Overall, really enjoyed my stay at this historic property. I also loved how Vashishta Gufa is close by, I visited twice. Very powerful place. "
