"I booked this property for a birthday weekend for my adult children and I. I wanted a house close to a lake and also hiking, and this was perfect! The home had everything we needed to relax, enjoy the outdoors, and have a great stay. The fishing was excellent and the sup was used by everyone! "Wonderful weekend at a wonderful property! We wanted to escape for some peace and quiet, just the 4 of us, and Blue Elk Lodge delivered! Spacious kitchen/common area, very comfortable beds and linens, and everything we could need or ask for! Only there for a few days, but enjoyed walkabouts on the property, met a very nice neighbor and ventured into Clifford and Carbondale. Would definitely return!!!!! "What a perfect weekend get away for a family wedding in Carbondale at St. Rose of Lima Church and then reception at Birchtown Wedding and Evenings, which as less than 3 miles from the house! The home is spacious and well equipped. We enjoyed views on the porches of the lake and time out by the fire pit. Just lovely!"
