Location is great, house needs a lot of work
This location is incredible. If you are just trying to get access to Weeki Wachee and not particular about your accommodations, this spot is great. However for the price we expected a little more from the property, which I communicated to the host.
Some things to consider:
The 3rd bedroom is a loft, not a bedroom, and should be indicated as such on VRBO. There is no wall to separate the noise from the living room, making it impractical for children to sleep up there.
The lower screened-in porch area by the water, where we would have loved to sit to watch the water, was completely ant-infested and unusable.
The AC in the large king bedroom stopped working the second night. The AC vent in the loft rattled a lot when the AC is on.
The kitchen was missing some normal items like a cutting board and we had to ask for a coffee maker (the host did bring one).
The interior of the house was generally clean, just dated - but the carpeted stairs and some of the things in the cupboards were dirty. The exterior spaces had not been swept in quite some time either.
There were no exterior lights that we could find, making it unsafe to be outside in the dark. We were also bummed there was no outdoor firepit despite there being one in the photos.
Finally, communication was a bit of a challenge - we had to ask about access multiple times and didn't get the door code until the morning of. It was hard to get an answer about some of the items that were available in the house.
