Not very comfortable or welcoming
While there were adequate bedrooms for our family of nine, they were cramped with no room to organize belongings. The space in the house was poorly laid out and maintenance wasn’t recent. Technically there were two bathrooms as listed but the various parts of the bathrooms were a bit separated with one toilet downstairs and the shower and sink upstairs sharing a common wall with the bigger bathroom. There didn’t seem to be consideration for guests with too much household items than needed taking up valuable space. It was challenging checking into the house as the owner/manager only gave an address with no info on how to find a key. It was challenging to get into WiFi, and had my IT proficient son not been with me, I never would have been able to connect. There were numerous bugs as there are horses, sheep and cows close by but there were no screens on windows to keep guests safe from potential mosquito-born infection. The exterior of the house was charming in a beautiful area of Sprimont. There was a charming koi pond on the property but my grandsons remembered reading there was a hot tub when there was none. We enjoyed being in a space where we could enjoy conversations with each other. We left a night early because the house was too uncomfortable for us to endure one more night.

A characterful property in a lovely part of Belgium
We had a fantastic long weekend with all the amenities we needed after some long cycle rides and an afternoon watching the LBL Monument from only a short walk away. Communication with the host was easy and responsive and there was a good supermarket nearby. A friendly cat topped off the trip - wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Schönes, uriges Haus
Wir haben den Aufenthalt als Familiengruppe sehr genossen. Die Aussenanlage ist toll. Die angegebenen 2 Bäder sind allerdings nicht ganz korrekt. Es gibt ein voll ausgestattetes Badezimmer (im 1.OG) mit Badewanne, WC und großer Dusche, dieses ist wirklich sehr schön. Dann gibt es zusätzlich ein separates WC unter der Treppe im EG. Eine weitere Dusche und ein Waschbecken befindet sich im 1. OG in einem Durchgangszimmer hinter einem nicht blickdichtem leichtem, weißen Vorhang. Hier muss man sich schon entweder gut mit allen Anwesenden absprechen oder es sollte einem egal sein wenn man nicht unbedingt Privatsphäre beim duschen hat. Einen Whirlpool wie in der Anzeige steht, haben wir nicht entdecken können und Videospiele auch nicht. Wir hatten den Vermieter während unseres Aufenthaltes noch 2 mal angeschrieben und Fragen gestellt, dazu kam jedoch leider keine Rückmeldung mehr. Die Heizungen funktionierten nicht, jedoch haben wir uns im Erdgeschoss mit dem Kamin beholfen. Das 5. Schlafzimmer ist mehr ein Büro mit kleiner Schlafcouch und leider stinkt es aus dem angrenzenden Raum mit Waschmaschinen muffig in diesen Raum hinein. Das Haus ist jedoch an sich sehr schön und toll eingerichtet. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt trotz allem sehr genossen. Empfehlenswert ist in der Nähe eine Wanderung am Ninglinspo, Durbuy oder die Grotten von Remouchamps oder aber auch für Kinder der Freizeitpark Plopsa Coo. Alles ist unter 30 min mit dem Auto von der Unterkunft aus zu erreichen.
